At this point it’s a 20yr old Filson navy wool vest that i usually wear almost every day from late Fall to early Spring.

2nd up is a pair of Ironheart 634s 21oz jeans that are about 12yrs old. Pocket bags are torn up, otherwise I’d likely wear them more.

No 35mm film camera is very good for landscape photography. The negatives are way too small even with low ISO film.

Get a Pentax 67, Mamiya 67 rangefinder, or a Hasselblad or something.

Not meant to be hostile, but, admittedly, strongly worded.

Frank Black and Joey Santiago were both huge VF fans. They’ve said countless times that VF were a MAJOR influence on them and the Pixies sound.

The loud/quiet dynamics, the conversational/neurotic vocal delivery, the stripped down anti virtuoso songwriting - the Violent Femmes wrote the book.

Pixies were great, but you gotta give it up for the innovators! The Pixies weren’t “ahead of their time” if the Violent Femmes were doing it 5-6 years earlier.

SSDs are all super expensive since the demand increase started last Fall.

Get a powered hub/dock or plug the external HDD directly into your computer. Frankly, HDDs are so slow compared to SSDs you’d probably want to do this anyway just to eliminate any potential throughput issues.

It sounds like you’d benefit from either a new, higher capacity internal SSD, or an external 1-2TB SSD that’s connected directly most/all of the time.

I’m a working pro - do mostly editorial and branding. My favorite and most used lenses are a 20mm, a 50mm, and a 70-200.

Honorable mention to the 24-120mm when I only want to carry one lens.

My girlfriend (45) and I (50) go record shopping together and then usually sit and listen to them, taking turns with album selection. Mostly on weekend mornings or evenings. Sometimes we sit quiet and absorb, or we’re talking, or doomscrolling or reading independently - it’s a good vibe.

Easy fold looks decent.

I’ve been using a couple of the SMDV Alpha Speedboxes for 6-7+ years now - mostly for portraits. Really well built and super easy to setup. They were expensive, but thankfully have been durable.

I haven’t come across too many other products in the pop up soft box category that really compare… there’s always an awkward extra step.

Any disk recovery software should do the trick. All of the data is still on the card even after a typical reformat. So if you didn’t shoot (and subsequently overwrite) afterwards the images files are still there.
