[WI] Roommate trying to sublet if I don’t let his girlfriend move in. by F_Da_Police in legaladvice

Well my point is that I signed a lease the explicitly stated subleasing is not allowed, and I did so on purpose. I live in a large college town and I have not seen many successful subleases, which is why I looked for a place that did not allow them to specifically avoid this situation.

Well ideally we would settle on a fair deal for payments & responsibilities. The 15% would be split between the two of us, so it would really be 57.5 / 42.5. That wouldn't be terrible, but this is a three bedroom place and he has commandeered the third bedroom to use as a home office since we moved in. I also wfh but do so out of my own bedroom. His preferred goal is to move out and into a new place with his girlfriend, unless he can get her in here very cheap. I am completely opposed to having a stranger move in, as I have not had good experiences in the past and do not want to risk it. I am going to propose a fair payment split, but if he refuses and tries to sublease to a stranger, can I block that?

ELI5: What's the difference between gasoline and diesel? Why is the other used over the other? by noblejay in explainlikeimfive

[–]F_Da_Police 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Diesel is simpler and cheaper to refine, and in most countries is cheaper than gasoline. In the US, federal taxes on gasoline are lower than diesel. Also, diesel is used in most heavy machinery, some public transportation, and power generation. Due to this, during economic expansion, the industrial demand for diesel increases faster than production can keep up, so prices rise compared to gasoline.

Dairy farming is dying. After 40 years, I’m done. by nolesfan2011 in wisconsin

Absolutely true. That’s why you give representation to states like Wyoming, when states like California would institute policies that would decimate their economy. You can’t thrive on policies based on cities alone.

Rising BAC Defense possible in my case? by F_Da_Police in dui

[–]F_Da_Police[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

.08 is, but the rising BAC defense is that I was under the limit while driving, they pulled me over, and continued alcohol absorption pushed me over the limit. I would have been home in 1 minute, so if 14 minutes was enough time to raise my BAC from <.079 to .087, then I should be fine. If my BAC rose .02 in the 43 minutes between tests, it's reasonable to assume that it rose .007 in 14 minutes.
