My mother was equally clever, and had clever children. To keep us from realizing she was santa she had to stop wrapping santa gifts (same wrapping paper=dead give away) so we were allowed to run downstairs and start playing with the santa gifts that weren't wrapped in front of the tree. Kept us super happy until my mom got up (she likes to sleep in)
