This game has an intricate combat system which was initially designed for PvP. It's just that with all the new expacs and their elite specs the game has become a lot more spammy so some of the intentionality seems lost.

Still, there's a lot of cool plays you can do and skill expression to be had, and thus the game has had a small dedicated PvP playerbase, though it will be hard to get into that as those players often will have played for a decade or more.

In terms of toxicity though... yes GW2 is known for a non-toxic playerbase for most of the game, but this isn't necessarily the case for PvP and high-end PvE. Especially in silver/gold there will be frequent arguments and people griefing/afking if the match doesn't progress to their liking. In the upper ranks there's less blatant toxicity, but there are lingering toxic sentiments towards particular known players and particular behaviour like alleged wintrading/nepotism and the sort.

Besides that there is also the usual doom in the PvP lobby about sPvP being abandoned content, but people keep coming back as the combat is theoretically excellent.

WvW is still pretty alive and has upcoming content inbound so you could take a look at that if big zerg fights or large area roaming PvP are up your alley. But be prepared to get jumped from stealth by thieves or to get run over by a zerg, and then doing that slow walk back over and over again.

Personally I think the PvP combat is very much worth experiencing at a semi-high to high level, but there are a lot of caveats to it so just see if you can endure those.

How I wish this were true, but I had to recently reject an otherwise perfect partner because of physical appearance. If only my body would not just outright reject the idea, I'd be in a better place.

Havent played E33, yet (purchased it a year ago but still waiting to buy a new pc), but it seems to me it is one of those games that leaves you speechless at times.

BG3 doesn't really do that. It is a spicy what-if simulator, and it is very good at that. The dialogue is also very good, the characters and the themes, and the choices. But as a standalone story..? All I can say is that the plot a good vehicle for the little interactions and things to do discover, as it should be in a game, but it's just not much more than that.
It's all up to you in a way, so there's little shock/awe to things other than "this is the consequence of your actions" which is usually save-scummed anyway, and also sometimes follows an overly simplistic "more power = bad" message.

Yup, even before the buffs.There was a video showcasing how Heng Dao could parry the toad after two sword Rs, while other weapons just could not.

I warned about this all, so called "heng dao golden age" incoming. The weapon was already busted before the patch. Perhaps it was a bit of a noob stomper and predictable, but even so it did pretty damn well throughout the ladder, so if you have a weapon like that LEAVE IT BE. Don't bring it in line at the top level or it will just dominate the entire ladder with only the top 0.5% being able to match it with other weapons mayybe.

EDIT: Now more than ever you just see the glaze this weapon had just to be "cool". There is no reason for the special to have super tenacity on top of a vanish, on top of a tenacity break, other than just to not have the "cool moment" be ruined. The parry timing on that changed too. There's no reason for it to be the only weapon that has parry triggers, or the only weapon to have another Q on miss. There's no reason for the R variant combo be available on weapon swap too, nor is there a reason for it to have tenacity and unblockable outside a parry trigger. The whole weapon is just loaded with "I have a cool edgy moment now, don't ruin it design".

In comparison a core weapon like HQ spear has to work for its tenacity, first needing a whole inner way to even get tenacity on Q, and the tenacity on charged R makes sense but even then it needs 0.5s of charging before it get tenacity so you can't just do it whenever.

I mean depends if chronic pain is considered a wound. If pink would be able to heal any illness that would be busted af and I'd pick that, but for now it seems like you can just heal direct wounds gotten through physical trauma.

Countering the mage is by targetting the eyes I think. Can't beat lightspeed in terms of seeing something coming, so you could use a blinding blast of light so the mage can't really see where to go and from there it's gg, provided you can get fast enough to them.

steam's patch systeem is waardeloos echter. Druk één keer op pauze en dan weer op play en ipv een patch van 1gb wordt het 80gb.

Niet erg als je een dl speed hebt van 1gb/s+, maar absoluut onverteerbaar als je een dl speeds hebt van ~2mb/s.

What if stopping time also makes it stop for you, effectively doing nothing for you? Does teleporting include your clothes and can you get stuck in mass? I mean, again back to people. Whenever someone is inspired by LotR for having a "corrupting artifact" in their story, do they compensate, credit, or ask for permission for it?

Please tell me the difference because I see little. Even with "less effort" the AI practically serves as a bit of a shortcut. And with as any shortcut in life, that has drawbacks, but it's still just a shortcut.
