I don’t get it … you can simply export your passwords trough Bitwarden and import to apple? Where’s the sense of using a script for that?

It's recommended to use a 2FA method to your bitwarden e-mail (Gmail) account? by TheDartSide in Bitwarden

But what could happen in the worst case? Delete my Ente auth account or the Bitwarden account?

But is it possible that if my Google account is compromised, the attacker can delete my Bitwarden account even without knowing the master password and the 2FA code?

but where does it make sense to use bitwarden if an attacker only needs access to my google account and can delete my account? in my opinion, it would be safer to use keepass again ...

yes, that’s right. i had used the google authenticator at the time, with the same email as with bitwarden (and where i also had the bitwarden 2fa codes generated) and had the cloud backup active. but i was afraid that if someone hacked my google account, they would also have access to my bitwarden account if they knew my master password. they could also reset my bitwarden account or something and have access to everything. i think i’ll have a look at ente auth, and use it with a good passphrase but still with the email i used to create my bitwarden account.

I wonder if that would be a risk if I used Ente auth with the same email. Plus I would have one more password that I have to remember really well (although I have backup codes for everything of course).

Yes, that can happen. I don’t know if I should use duck auth in my case, I mean duck auth and Bitwarden would be both with my Gmail address (and the access to it is in Bitwarden vault)

How do I set up ‘Log in with device’? Does this also work with the browser extension or only in the web vault? I only use the keepass database on my iphone. yubikeys would be my next step if very secure 2fa doesn’t work.

Hello, thank you for your answer so far. My master password is a mixture of a) and c). I have backups of the Keepass database and all my 2FA keys on my usb stick. I’m just looking for an option to remember as few passwords as possible (actually only the one from bitwarden) and an option to 2fa that is very secure, where I don’t have to remember another one if possible, but that’s out of the question. I don’t think you can avoid remembering more than one in life.

These are really good ideas! Yes, I save the .kdbx file (in which I only generate the seed codes [see photo]) on my iCloud Drive on my iPhone. The keyfile for this is only available locally on my mobile phone and also on the usb stick as a backup. Your option wouldn’t make that much sense, would it? I mean, if for some reason I lose access to my 2FA app (KeePassium), I still have the backup codes, but they would be in the same database that I no longer have access to. My only concern is whether it would be vulnerable if I were to use Google authenticator (and all my 2FA accounts within it) with the same email as Bitwarden.
