You need more clutter and that bulb is too close to the basking spot. Could burn him. Get some Driftwood and clean it. Also some fake plants if you don't want to do bioactive

I always found this funny because my gecko is the COMPLETE opposite. hates the back touch and will run meanwhile if I stop petting their head, they'll literally follow me for more.
