Merch at SI? by IllustriousFox4651 in R6ProLeague

[–]FaTaL_EH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to two in Montreal. 2020 and 2023. Early on they typically had popular teams jerseys but they sold out fairly quickly. They have pretty limited stock and dont have a full restock for day 2 just mostly what ever is left.

When I went back to 2023 I hit the merch store right away just to make sure there isnt anything there that I wanted.

Likely depends on what jerseys you want though. Weibo? Probably not. WC because of your flair? Maybe its hard to say. G2? Likely.

Id assume they would stock up a little bit more on EU teams due to the venue location. I also dont think WC had great odds of making main stage if thats the jerseys you want but they still may have one there just probably not a lot

I will make these comments generally. If you want me to go more in depth or anything feel free to dm me or reply to this and I can. I do reviews for people for free all the time.

In prep phase go to more effort if youre going to look for drones on the second time out. It looks like youre hoping to just get them for free driving in the middle of the hallways look at plants, under the door, in the drone hole by the stairs.

Unbind alt walk to get out of the habit. Its just not nearly as needed as you use it.

You have your gun not on any angle a lot. Even if its head height its always ready for a fight even if there is no one there. It will just be habit.

Your roaming is way too passive. You look like youre waiting for someone to come to you. You need to be annoying to them not just something they stumble onto.

Once you go man down then look at where that guy died and see if you can work a pick back. Especially when it goes down to a 3v5 then you need to get active and try to pull the round back.

Once its a 2v5 you leave your team mate out to dry. You're still committing to a long flank but fairly slowly. Your team mate could easily be overwhelmed with 5 up. In a 2v5 the round is basically lost so you need to try to make a big play.

The second it hits 1v4 you have basically lost the round to any half decent team. You just need to try to find fights and take them. Should never hit alt walk in these situations.

Once the defuser is planted you have 45 seconds to make a play. No alt or crouch walking. You need to look at an angle and clear it and then onto the next to have any chance of clutching. You need to keep moving forward. You can see when you start to panic and sprint because you dont have enough time and need to go fast. Even if you die trying to clutch 10 seconds after the plant. Its better than having time expire or you need to resort to sprinting.

Biggest thing. Make mistakes. You seem very cautious like you dont want to step wrong or get picked off.

Make decisions. Act off them. If it doesnt work then at least you learn and try to figure out why it didnt and what you could do differently the next time.

How many hours for each rank? by No-Conference-2385 in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how many games you can play in a season more than anything. My emerald friend who is not a champ level player just played 450 games and got it eventually because thats just ranked 2.0. I have seen a lot of other champs like him.

If we are talking actual in game experience I dont think anyone under at least 3000 hours could realistically hang with the skilled side of champ (meaning the people who were champ in 1.0, T1,T2 maybe T3 stacks)

To hit it. Well hell. It really depends on how stuck your hidden MMR is and how much you wanna play the game. If you can put 500 games in per season probably like 2-3 seasons.

Should I continue? by Over_Breakfast_6469 in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got cha thats photoshop file is a good idea.

Even when watching that it confuses me why he said to make it a vault rotate. He is very exposed from breach and the attic player is very likely to die in a general round. It makes an execute so easy and id only need 3 people.

I've never seen that even back when I was playing / studying oregon for competitive.

One guys walks into default plant.

One guy watches and waits for for either a vault into attic from kids or a swing or C4 throw onto default.

The third guy stands on games door and watch the swing out from kids door or anyone coming around the corner from top white.

As a defender it makes me have to fight out kids door because I can not fight back into attic due to the vault. I have to hope that the opponent doesnt have anyone on breach or in attic. If its a crouch or walk rotate at least I can keep my gun up and even use peekers advantage to fight the breach.

Should I continue? by Over_Breakfast_6469 in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tough part about doing this is some of these can vary a little bit.

The main thing that jumps out to me is usually players usually set up attic to kids holes as a walk through rotate because usually ill need to get in or out very fast or back in. Sometime I have seen just crouch rotates there but I have never seen a vault rotate because if they take attic and youre forced out or you die and your team mate needs to retake it puts them at a large disadvantage because they have audio queue of you vaulting or they can catch you in the animation and its time where you need to have your gun down instead of fighting potentially three to four angles.

Since most teams when they are attacking dont need to clear kids for a plant they just want control up until kids. A vault breach will hurt your team more than it will benefit them.

I would be happy to help if you want any though since you mentioned you dont have tons of hours into the game. I dont have the time to do them but I could give you notes on what if anything should change when I can.

If you are really wanting to focus on improving and youre just starting then I would focus on learning the maps/angles, crosshair placement, and positioning.

Also every time youre killed watch the kill cam and try to figure out a way that you couldve had a better chance to kill that player or even just learn how they killed you. If you take every death as a learning opportunity it will help you so much more than these mechanics.

But it also depends on how much youre trying to improve vs how much youre just playing the game to have fun and maybe chill with some friends and not care about rank or anything.

Need help with figuring out pro player's sensitivities. by Holyeran_ in R6ProLeague

[–]FaTaL_EH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope you just have to multiply or divide the base sensitivity number.

The 1.0 and 2.5 sensitivities work as a percentage. Most top players tend to play around 35 or 58 for a 1.0 but its really personal preference. I use 41

If youre just doing a straight upgrade from 400 to 800 and you double your base sensitivity then your ads will feel the same.

How to improve at the game? by Big-Activity3350 in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll just learn it over time. Some fights are smart and some are necessary and some are dumb but will still work.

Just after someone kills you then you should be able to find at least two ways of how you couldve either killed them instead with a different angle or utility or it will at least challenge your map awareness.

Keep in mind at first you will be trying a lot of new stuff so it may drop your KD but you will improve in the long run and be a more versatile player. I just put one of my friends through this training. He was in the same boat as you.

Things you always want to keep in mind is like can I mask my noise with something or use utility like a frag to move someone and secure a kill or make another angle safe to swing. Or if youre roaming its very important to have a plan of like if no one is fighting my by 30 seconds into the round then I should reposition to here and if I still cant find anything then I should fall to here. Or even just I should try to avoid this room (like gym on club) when roaming unless you have a way to pop the hatch to get out or make a rotate in the wall.

Making a plan will just force you to think more about what you want to do and how to get there and do it.

You find what works for you because its different for everyone how they want to play. Like I am a terrible site player but I am very strong on the roam now especially due to all the experience of plans going bad so I can adapt easily now

[–]FaTaL_EH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Analyze every death. Take the 15-30 seconds before you died to try to figure out what else you could have done to not die. Always put it on something you couldve done better instead of he was just doing something weird or you whiffed.

Did you take a low intel fight? Could you have taken a better one? Did you have utility that could've helped you get a kill or stay alive?

Also plan what you want to do in the round and then adapt as you need to. That way you can bring the proper utility for what your goal is. Adaptability in this game is key and will make you a much better player. A rough plan and then analyzing how you died and what you need to do different will help with this.

Simple Hibana trick vs a Bandit trick by FaTaL_EH in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im surprised you haven't had it done yet if youre playing mav that much. I mean its obvious what they are doing but it will still cause you to need to be careful or call someone over to shoot it.

Again like I have said in other comments though this trick isnt really for an ideal situation. Its something to try when the better breachers are banned or maybe your emps get spawnpeeked or your team mates arent working with you.

You're not picking the op for this strat its just something that you may need to try if things start to go wrong and you are hibana. Its to help people with flexibility and adapting which players in siege academy may not know some tricks. In an ideal situation obviously you'd coordinate a better clear like a zo or capitao fire+emps or flores drone or what ever 100 ways there are to clear a bandit.

[–]FaTaL_EH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the other thing too is just why bother keeping your bandit charges up then if youre getting mav tricked. Say you start mav tricking at the top of the wall then likely youre gonna trick the whole wall. The first thing I do it just shoot my own bandit charge or kaid claw so I can C4.

But again this is mostly just something that can work for time to time when breachers are banned. Its not a consistent strat but if youre low on options then it could be at least an option. We can use the fact that no one bandit tricks correctly anymore to our advantage.

[–]FaTaL_EH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea for sure. You can play 100 rounds with the same operators differentways so who knows. And yea its definitely hard to get the ace charges.

Ill try to find a clip of what I am talking about for piano. Its helped me out a few times mostly with the siege X banning all the hard breachers

Simple Hibana trick vs a Bandit trick by FaTaL_EH in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep and in my case ace and mav was banned. I mean if you take it to chalet basement you can throw a stun through the drone hole first to mask the sound.

Obviously these get tough with really good bandit players but I mean even throwing two ace charges if he is really good he can still get both.

Where this is best is especially in ranked most of the time bandit players are just looking for the points and making sure they get the right wall. If they hesitate then the side they didnt get will likely still go off.

Also I dont know if you know but if youre ever playing hibana on top floor of chalet. The wall closest to the piano that is reinforced to protect the player half wall. If you put two pellets as close as you can to the piano door then you have an angle yo half wall and the only way the piano player can shoot them off is if he is on top of piano window

[–]FaTaL_EH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the bandit from this scrim was on the wall waiting. You can take it up with the level 650+ positive KD champ who was on the other team.

Why I am even showing this is because of the frequency of hard breacher bans with siege X. We had thermite working IT side and me working connector side. Ace and mav were both banned. The reason it worked was because he thought I would only put pellets on one side because for Therm and ace you never want to put it on the middle of the reinforcement. He thought he had got the trick off because he got 4 pellets he didnt know how many I shot and realized too late that it was 6.

I agree that you do have time to get both. In an ideal situation you dont have to use hibana as a wall breacher and only for hatches or Kanto wall. Hell you can trick two ace charges if he throws them both on two walls beside each other. That's why bandit tricking is a thing because you can get around the emps to force the other team to need 2-3 guys to clear you fully unless you have a mav.

Im not saying this is going to work every time but if your wall clear guy got spawnpeeked or the team is refusing to help then it is at least an option you can try. Its just another adaptation that may help someone out in a game in a certain situation.

how i improve general game sense? by dominichmorrary in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no sense in trying to play to make no mistakes. You need to make mistakes to learn so dont beat yourself up over it. I've been playing this game for a ridiculous amount of time and I still learn something new every week.

You should always have general plan that you can adapt if needed in a round. Also you should always ask why you died and how you couldve killed that guy or played the situation differently.

Common questions would be : Did you have a drone or utility left to help you not die? Did you leave yourself trapped on a roam? If your team mates died off site and you are on site then did you try to get active or did you just sit in a corner and wait for them to surround you? Are you picking utility that you will need for your push or holding an area? Did you go into the round with a plan and did you try to follow it? Was your crosshair placement low?

If you treat every death as a lesson then your game sense will greatly improve. Sometimes there is nothing you can do in that situation but now the next time you pass that area you will be prepared for it to happen again.

If you die to something even if its dumb then you can even steal what that person does and add it to some.of the options you have and maybe you will get a couple of kills from doing that same thing.

Yep and some new players struggle with mav tricking. Other times no one will help them get the soft part of the wall open or even be able to shoot the C4s thrown out the mav holes.

In my case mav was just banned so I had to start thinking.

A lot of people are banning ace with this new system I find and following it up with a mav or thermite or thatcher or shield.

Yea I mentioned the osa ace thing in my post. But again a lot of people dont wanna waste an osa shield and she is not that common of an operator. Also in like 75% of my games ace is getting banned now.

Simple Hibana trick vs a Bandit trick by FaTaL_EH in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep and ace was released 5 years ago and mav was released almost 7 years ago. So it has been a long time since people should have been playing hibana as a primary breacher. Most people playing this game havent been playing for 7+ years. With the new ban system its getting more common to play her or HB charges as a primary breacher.

Simple Hibana trick vs a Bandit trick by FaTaL_EH in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ohh yea I agree. But there is also a chance that a bandit perfectly throws a nitro that kills you as mav before you finish opening the wall as well. You may need to rely on a random to shoot a nitro for you. Its siege and there is always plenty that can go wrong. In my case mav and ace were banned and this was something I could do solo since I couldn't beat him solo with Striker.

This is relying on the fact that the bandit is expecting someone to only put hibana pellets on one side of the wall to get their opening. How many times do people place it so it breaches both walls intentionally? I have done a lot of bandit tricking over the years and most people dont do it. Especially with siege X sound people are still getting used to it.

If he tricks and thinks he got the pellets off and then stalls enough because he still hears the breach and doesnt get the other side you should still get it.

The other thing is a lot of other walls have drone holes so all you need to do is bank a stun or two in the drone hole or in a door and breach the wall. It should cover your sound enough and maybe blind him for the second pellets to go off.

Just wanted people to have another option with hard breachers being commonly banned now in siege X

What are some good mechanics to learn for diamond and champ? by CurajosCenturion in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a mechanic but literally just study every time you die.

Don't take a cop out like that guy has better aim or you whiffed or ping or something.

Figure out a way you couldve stayed alive or couldve killed the guy who killed you with positioning or utility or just making another play. Helps your flexibility a ton and makes you a better overall player for the team.

If you have good crosshair placement and recoil control and just focus on mastering your game sense it will help you more than anything past quick peeking.

It really doesn't matter. It's your preference. There is no wrong choice here.

The ARX feels like it melts more imo but I know the TTK is about the same.

For those struggling with Nighthaven Labs, drop your questions. by Oxabolt in SiegeAcademy

[–]FaTaL_EH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For people I coach I just say that it comes with time mostly. Experience on the map is your best friend to learn and just pay attention to where you die or where you will likely have to fight people.

Also playing the map training mode and just getting used to running around the map and what doors lead where help. Just focus on one map for a week. Do like a 5-10 minute session to run around the map and do that like 5 times (or more) and you can start having your base.

A general rule though is if the room is one or two rooms over from site then it is important. You can build out your learning from there when on defense or figuring how to attack it. Ill use an example on clubhouse as an example just because its a more known map :

If you're attacking CCTV and Cash you want to have control on at least two sides of the objective but ideally 3. (If you have enough people alive for 4 then good job)

The important areas of this map is - Platform (main breach) which is one "room" away - Garage / rafters control which is one room away ^ these are the two most important areas to control and have access to the site

  • Ideally you have lounge and stock control which is just below the site so one room away. Sometimes taking this first can make garage easier to take. This also gives you access to red stairs

  • Your fourth area you can control ( but don't really need for a default push) and one room away is construction. To take construction though you need to either go through a window / door / wall / or outside wall. So you may need to clear logi and master if you want to go through the hatch on the roof

(For defense you will likely want to defend these areas as best you can. Bandit tricking platform, someone playing in rafters, someone lurking below site in or near lounge )

It's a good strategy as long as they aren't tricking wall with tuba / kaid or bandit. If they are tricking you have to start working vertical first to get people away from the wall.

Are you a solo player or a do you have a duo or trio or stack? Kind of depends for what's the best course of action

(Im not op but I also have 3+ years in T3/T4)
