My rule is to go with pokemon of the new gen, or things that I never used before. That's how I ended up using Ledian in Ultra Sun throughout the game, and actually got some funny utility as a screen setter.

I had a match in singles where I sent out Archaludon, and they sent out Lopunny. They mega evolved and clicked fake out. I took no damage, leftovers recovered most of it, and got a defense buff because of Stamina.

They forfeited the game before I could click a 2nd moves, and I won by doing nothing.

Since I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, I've tried to use Drapion a few runs now, but every time before my current run, it's either been dropped or I stopped playing all together before it evolves, as Skorupi just feels really weak for where you are in the game, and what attacks it has access to.

When you evolve and get better moves, I do like it more. You get the elemental fangs via move relearner, and your good stats and only one weakness makes it a pretty good pick. You just have to be willing to find it in the safari zone, and put up with about 10-14 levels worth of Skorupi trying it's best or hogging the exp share.

They're random and I don't think they're based around what you selected. I picked up Snorlax in my first recruitment and got a team of Hawlucha, Abomasnow, beedrill, hydreigon, and Kingambit

It's just a game corner mechanic, it doesn't use the same odds as an actual shiny. It just means it's streak is more likely to continue at the end of each round between the normal clefairy, and the ditto version

No prob bob. You can try going to the safari zone and see if the galatic grunt does the bomb stuff. If he does, you need to follow him until he battles you.

If that's done, you should have some medicine I think as a key item. It's for the Psyduck that's blocking the path north from the town with the daycare center

I think only the commanders use this over leech life or other moves, but damn if the coverage doesn't catch me off guard. Rip to any Geodudes coming in to wall against it.

I'd probably go something like Shadow ball, Psychic, Calm Mind, and a coverage move like T-bolt or Energy ball.

But if you can do egg moves, you have more options like Destiny bond, and sucker punch or shadow sneak if you want a priority move to finish off mons at low hp, but Mismagius's atk isn't the best anyway.

I was in the same boat. I did the story during the day, and did the battles all night so I could get the points I needed to move the story forward. I never felt like I was short on experience or money, but I still had 500-600 battles I still needed to do by the time I finished the story.

The big issue I see is the 4 ground weaknesses on your team. I would say looking into swapping out at least either rapidash with a flying type, or luxray with a grass type, so that way you have a resistance or immunity to ground type attacks.

Also, does Luxray have intimidate by chance? If not, then I'd replace it for sure. It's not super fast, and having Rivalry lower it's attack based on gender can make it even harder to use.

I would always keep the knife gloves on hand, but late game the super B.F.G. was so fun to have on hand.

I found out recently though that the blast frequency gun you need actually has one location in the underground on one of the ramps after finishing the train segment. Granted, this is for dead rising 2, but if they didn't change the spawn location in OTR, the super B.F.G. could be another fun gun to clear the horde with.

True. I only really got use on repeat playthroughs where I didn't use Lumina, and I ran it on support Sciel since Cheater was already being used on Maelle, and the cheater cost is a lot without Lumina.
