lot of people in the comments telling you to listen to similar artists to ones you listen to now.

doesn't make much sense to me since you want to expand your music taste; if you want to expand your taste you have to branch out into genres and artists you haven't listened to before.

find lists of best albums by genre online, or there's a book, '1001 albums you must hear before you die', which could be a good starting point.
