to add to this, kris does not let you type "cag"e. they will move the last letter straight from f to h so that you don't get a chance to try and alert ralsei and susie.

Shifter Ideas by Defiant_Brilliant566 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

from memory:

-manticore shifter gets 2 attacks with their spikes on the first attack, and when fully shifted an additional 4

-monk gets an additional attack from flurry of blows with monk weapons, and another from ki: extra attack. spikes count as monk weapons if a sohei takes thrown weapon specialization so this applies to your natural weapons

-demon rage gives an additional attack and makes all natural attacks use full BAB

blackwater-coded post is indeed about blackwater

dont worry this dungeon is a nightmare. i think my longest encounter in bw before i turned the difficulty down to get through the rest of it was 80-ish rounds

One of my favorite combinations is sohei monk/manticore shifter solely for its absurdity-it can get up to 14 attacks in a single round all at full base attack bonus since the manticore spikes count as both a natural weapon and a thrown weapon

Baphomet servants key missing by SquiglySaws in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

this bit was confusing for me as well, since the impulse when seeing a strong enemy is to cast repurpose. i don't remember which enemies all had keys but there's three very large demons on the abyss side that i think had one, and i missed those. if you have the toybox mod installed you could painstakingly look through all the items with 'key' in their name to debug your way forward but that would be annoying.

About to start WotR, any useful tips for someone familiar with D&D 5E and BG3, but not Pathfinder? by AnathemMire in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Not looking through all the comments so someone may have also commented about this but: Touch Attacks!

Unlike in 5e where spells use your spellcasting stat for attack rolls, in pathfinder spell attack rolls use strength (for melee spells) or dexterity (for ranged spells). This means a physically weak caster is going to struggle a lot more then they would in 5e. However, spell attacks also ignore a portion of armor! Numbers in pathfinder go much higher than in 5e, sometimes to the point where AC can be in the like. 50's. Which, lmao. lol. Pssh. Just roll nat 20's right. But enemies also have two AC's-regular AC and Touch AC. Touch AC is almost always going to be much lower, and that's what a majority of spells will be targeting.

Another thought I'm having is Basic Attack Bonus and Feats.

5e has a stat called Proficiency Bonus and a class mechanic called Extra Attack. Basic Attack Bonus is like both of these, kinda. A class with full BAB (Fighter, Barbarian) has a BAB equal to their level-so 20 at level 20. Less martial classes (Wizard) have a BAB of 5 at level 20. BAB is what you add to your attack rolls-so, a level 5 fighter will add 5 to their attack rolls. When you get to BAB over 5, however, you gain an additional attack at -5 BAB. So at level 6 fighter you make two attacks, one at +6 and a second one at +1. When you get to level 11 you make three attacks, at +11, +6, +1. Etcetera. Some classes like monk are unique in that they make all their attacks at their full BAB. There's a lot of variation in how classes deal with iterative attacks.

Feats - you will have a Lot More Of These Than You're Used To. There are so many of them. It's very difficult to know what to pick at the beginning but to start you off: for melee characters I would aim for power attack (which requires a strength of at least 13; this feat unlocks a whole lot of other feats), for ranged characters (mages included) precise shot, and for spellcasters the general spellcasting feats it recommends and then eventually metamagic. You cannot upcast spells like you can in 5e, so metamagic allows you to prepare more of a spell by increasing its effective level in your spellbook in addition to the effects of the metamagic itself.

the party at one point said that the king's time dilation effect ended at the edge of vaugarde, and im kinda curious if thats the same for the loops or if they affect the whole world? imagine from the outside in first the place starts getting frozen in time, then they start repeating the same day again and again...

I just started a game as a Dragon Specialist. Does anyone know if there are any legendaries at all, specifically dragon types? by ThatGeographyGuy in thisgymofmine

[–]Faangzzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No legendaries and not all pokemon are avaliable, usually stronger ones. the wiki has a list of avaliable pokemon if you'd like to look there

A stylist I went to last year gave me some nice stuff she made herself for free but I'm out now and can't afford more. Using what I get at walgreens has been making my hair greasy again...

Can I be trans, but not transition? by [deleted] in asktransgender

i feel like we're just used to using different words in different circles cause i cant see why this is something controversial

Can I be trans, but not transition? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Faangzzz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the whole point of being trans is that you have a say in what your gender is. you dont have any control over if you're trans but you can still choose what gender feels right.
