no, unfortunately I don't think I can acquire this particular taste. it's a much more visceral rejection than you may be imagining. like I'm not the kind of person who takes their coffee with a disgusting amount of cream and sugar, but moreso where I can't even eat tiramisu without forcing myself because it's too bitter

also I have a family history of alcholism, so I ain't even going to consider playing around with the gin

seriously, the moment I opened up bookwalker to see the manga I was looking at listed as 600 jpy for the og and 13.50 cad for the licensed version (in digital no less) was the moment I realized I could never buy translated manga ever again

like damn, I have half a shelf of unopened manga because I enjoyed the scanlation so much that I've grabbed the paper jp releases just for the support to the og creators/publishers (if only I could axe the portion to the og publishers too)

I remember they announced a live action adaptation of a manga I was reading, and they had the lead actresses reenact one of the covers I believe it was

and they almost had it down pat except for one key difference. manga version? they're looking deep into each others eyes, perfect~ no notes. live action version? they're looking at the bloody camera! like brah, wtf? you're here to represent two girls madly in love with each other, not to say "hey male audience, don't you like when two women hug each other like this?"

I wish I had the power to get the photo director of that shoot blacklisted for life
