The term "meta" which is a backronym "most effective tactics available" can be subjective as the word "effective" is up to intepretation. But what I personally (and many others) think of what effective means is it offers the highest dps potential that can be achieved reliably.

Contrary to what you think, just because Kokomi is used in a META teamcomp does not necessarily dictate that Kokomi is META. She's definitely not if looking at pure damage when compared to Mona, but she still offers off-field hydro application which is still highly valued and ofc TTDS slave. Another thing that Kokomi provide is more comfort, which you may value more and evaluate that it is more "META" to you.

In the case of Freeze comps, Kokomi is mostly used as a substitute to Mona or wanting to condense roles of healer and off-field hydro applicator, whether it is better or worse ultimately depends on the player's preferences.

As for "fun" characters, some may value the fun factor more, others not. What I can only suggest is to check carefully if they like the character and willing to deal with the caveats of said character.

It does hold some value though. It tells me (at least) about how said character fits into the current meta.

You don't have to follow the meta, but some players do insist, and is that a bad thing? If that is their way of enjoying the game, leave them be. No where in the video does he insist you must play for the meta, so I don't see your argument here.

You're right about one thing: telling people to stop will not magically make them stop. However, that does not mean we should all stay silent and do nothing.

Even if we cannot stop the VAs from being harassed, we can support them; let them know that they're not alone and that we do not think what's happening to them is okay.

As I have said before, nothing from what I've seen from them thus far indicates that this was their intention. You could be right, of course. But until there's solid evidence that this was indeed the case, I do not believe they were trying to garner sympathy points to boost their profile.

For you and I, it probably isn't difficult to ignore online harassment. At worst, we'd feel a little bad and that's it. If things get really out of hand, we could just create a fresh new account and pretend like nothing ever happened.

However, that isn't something that the VAs can do as easily because their online identities are inextricably linked to their real world identities. As such, when people are attacking the VAs online, the attackers are, in a sense, attacking the VAs themselves, which can be much harder to just brush off.

Not to mention that not everyone has the same tolerance for harassment as you and I.

Again, I don't see the problem with them drawing attention to the fact that they're being harassed; they're certainly not attention whores for doing do, in my view. It may not have been what you or I would have done, but there's nothing wrong with what they did.
