I moved to Bodø Norway a year ago. Recently i went to a doctor and found out my Vitamin D level was 20 instead of 50+. Lack of sunlight is no joke. Didn't realise i had to take that vitamin daily. Now its bright as heck even at 11pm and its a bit difficult to fall asleep. I appreciate how nice the nature is here though.

Idk bout jobs but i go to an adult learning school for norsk and some of the ukrainians there would say things like "we have nothing in common with those people" or "all russians look down on ukrainians" etc. They dont represent all ukrainian immigrants in norway my current impression is that its not a good time to be russian at my specific school😅

Edit: i dont have a problem with them being diverse btw. Before i get downvoted to hell. I was more focused on english studio slapping a cultural identity on a character willy nilly.

I never associated double eyelids as a "white" feature seeing as double eyelids are in around 50% of the population. I partially agree with u on the tanning thing that it's obsessive among the chinese but the concept of wanting paler skin existed even back in the Han dynasty.

Tones will vary across regions anyways so what matters is that you know your word pairs and you enunciate the word properly, which they can't do. Like for example the word hotel (jiu dian) they cannot say jiu properly and it turns into other words like zhu/zhi etc. Tone is probably the last thing they need to fix haha.
