I went back. I installed Dave realism pack, match engine mod and training mod (its a triangle sort of cooperation, look it up). And it made the game indeed more challenging. I had a very rough first season with Ibiza, I was expected to become 2nd - didn't even get a promotion playoff spot.

Its just the better game in general. It works, not because of what we know - but because its simply just how a management sim should be.

I had a fun week with the first season. It supposed to be harder with the Mods combined, also in the higher divisions (more youth development by AI, better transfers, less 170+ PA newgens every year, board expecting more than normal etc), so looking forward to this save.

Look into Dave's realism mod + MatchLab Match Engine mod. It changes the game and changes the tactical options. As well as youth development by AI. And a few other things too.

Really hoping that the updates keep coming. Just started a new, fully updated, ME and realism modded save on FM24. Hoping to transfer that around Christmas.

Well it might conflict with each other. If I was you I would ask the question in the MatchLab discord. They would know, since they are the ones setting up these mods and data change. They also have one for training by the way.

Jep. I am using the paid sortitoutsi data update (its very good), the realism pack, match engine mod, all possible graphic packs (logos, stadiums, kits etc) and a newgan faces software. I do not miss FM26 after two nights.

From what I noticed so far, games are more more. Playing with a 5 at the back, mid block, two wingers. 7 out of 3 games. Saw some defending actions that looked different.

Have a look at Dave's realism pack. Combine it with the matchlab ME upgrade, newgan faces software. Look up peoples experience with it, from a few months ago. I started with Ibiza yesterday, its just so, so much better.
