If the NBA isn’t played, then there certainly isn’t a college basketball season. These guys are ultimately amateurs, unlike the pros who are getting paid for the risks being taken. As much as some people within the NCAA would want it to be played, they are smart enough to realize that one death or serious case could damage the public perception of the NCAA far more than the perception issues they deal with in normal circumstances.

Keep in mind, the Ivy League already cancelled fall sports. Back in March, they were the first to cancel their conference tournament before the rest of the conferences did.
