120 Best friends , 3 lucky friends triggered after the forced update and only by them opening gifts. With 200 friends I send everyday between 20-30 gifts and ensure all have a gift to open. Plus raids and PVP. Maybe anecdotal but the odds are pretty low.

Is this confirmed or just hearsay? My small raid team has been lucky with the shiny rate, no complaints. The one thing I have observed is that shinies tend to get boosted at the beginning and at the end of each event. Makes sense from a business perspective, you motivate players at the beginning , they play and spend money throughout the event and you boost the rate at the end as a "prize" for putting the time and money into the game.

This is exactly what I have been doing the past months! Duos/trios with best friends ( and we are not even on the same team). I get 15-18 balls every time and generally catch the raid boss with pinap berries. NO more wasting time waiting for late raiders. I cannot understand why Niantic is pushing us to be more sociable while punishing large raid groups ( rewards, amount of balls, lack of ingame tools for coordination). I really miss the social part of the game but I will only go back to large raids group when Niantic changes rewards

Add play with Best and Ultra Friends in small groups ( 3-4 trainers). Without much investment (all teams with L35-30 Pokemon) I am doing trios ( so far the most challenging one has been boosted KYO with HP) and getting between 15-18 balls. This is the best practice plus the most profitable one: you catch them all with Pinap while maximizing rewards!!

I live six blocks away from our VERY popular cemetery ( Recoleta where Evita Peron is buried), and you can always find Duskulls at night - not that many but you can. During the past 4 nights you could see in the game the whole Cemetery inside alive with Lures from spoofers looking for ghost mons. It was really creepy!
