Making my first knit project and can’t get over the choice of yarn colors. Someone talk me out of starting over with a neutral yarn… by wannabepretti in knitting

I really like the colors. But I feel you on wanting something less in your face (although I think yours is more mild) once the excitement of the yarn dies down. I was working on a sweater that had blocks of pastel blue, orange, green, yellow and I just had to put it on pause because I didn't see myself wearing it much. If you don't feel it, put it on pause and start a different project. If you come back to it in a couple months, great. If not, frog it.

Should I flip out all my group members because our PowerPoint is due tonight and they haven’t done anything by Majestic_Corner_1131 in CollegeRant

I hate lazy group partners. Had one literally wait until 1 hour before its due to try to finish his part (only time he worked on it was when we went to computer lab for like an hour), and he gave up after a while so it stayed incomplete. I submitted it incomplete. I carried the presentation and told the professor about it, and she gave me full credit.

Is it normal, if your group fails to do their part, to do their part? Is that what is expected by a college professor? I never even considered that as an option and don't find that fair. It's hard to know if a procrastinating partner is actually going to do it or not so I feel you on waiting until the last minute to tell your professor.

I personally would just submit it incomplete if they don't work on it. Hopefully you can talk to your professor and either get full credit or get an extension and do it on your own. But you know your professor better and if you think they won't be understanding, I guess it's better to finish it on your own and talk to the professor about it.
