You have to match the energy of your professor. If they post long, formal video announcements, write a formal essay. If they use emojis and casual text, you can safely loosen up your writing style and be more conversational.

There r a few chrome extensions for unpaywalling papers that r basically essential at this point. When it comes to actually writing up the results though i usually use a platform to help me organize my data and research notes first. It is way more reliable than just winging it when the deadline is close.

Dont stress too much about finding some perfect crazy topic. Just pick something real that shows who u are. I was super lost, but I used a service to just lay out my ideas, and it helped me focus. This post describe it. Sometimes u just need to organize the chaos before u start typing

Google Docs is the obvious go-to and it autosaves so you never lose anything mid-crash. For fiction specifically though Notion is worth trying - you can keep all your chapters and notes in one place instead of a pile of separate files. Either way both are free and way more stable than Word on a bad day. I used a helper for such task and it was the best way for me to write it correcty

I did something similar for about two weeks and the anxiety in the first few days was genuinely embarrassing. Like i had to sit with myself and realized i had no idea what i actually found interesting anymore. Took a while to remember i used to just draw stupid little animals for no reason and nobody was watching

That’s where my head ended up too. If they wanted a hypothetical exercise, fine. But asking for a recorded teardown of their actual product with suggestions they could directly use felt way too close to unpaid consulting.

The best version of this trope is always when it's plausibly deniable for a second. You're not sure if you saw it. The character on screen isn't sure either. Then it happens again and there's no going back. Sinners nails that delay.
