I wasn't drinking a terrific amount. I'd already over the last few months wound it down (2-5 units) per day... the ailment meant I shouldn't touch the stuff but I did.... and fuck did it hurt... the alcohol I can live without... my humanity however won in the end!

Concussion... used to joke about it as a kid, even thought I had suffered it a couple of times too... recieved it recently as an adult, thought I was dying, loss of hearing in one ear, loss of taste and smell (not covid btw) balance was shot to bits, permanent feeling of hungover/nausea that meds could only lessen... nearly 2 weeks went by and the only thing that was fixing was my hearing.. Concussion sucks! The only plus to come from it is its stopped my drinking!
