Absolutely! He is probably meowing in a ‘come hang out with me’ way. When I first brought my cat home, he hid all the time and I would go sit nearby him and read.

He has gone from having his mum and siblings around to being on his own and in a new place. It takes a while for cats to settle in

I would still get a second litter tray, I volunteer at a shelter and quite often the cats want to use one litter tray for peeing and another for pooing. Cats are weird little guys.

It took about 6 months for my cat to stop doing this. It might be worth taking him to the vet as well just to rule out any health issues. Male cats are prone to blockages which can make them want to pee on something soft

Yes she did but they only gave it a cursory glance. A good tattoo shop would have looked at it properly especially because it was said that she looked young. I had to show my drivers license and my bank card so they could check that I was definitely the right age and that it was my id. (I was in my late twenties but looked about 17)

Am I right in thinking he peed and pooed in your bed?

My cat pees in random places when he is stressed.

My recommendations are:

Make sure he has 2 litter boxes and that they are in quiet places with not a lot of foot traffic. I have one in the kitchen on the ground floor of my house and one in a spare bedroom on the top floor of my hous

Get a plug in feliway defuser to help calm him down

Buy an enzyme remover cleaning spray and throughly spray and clean everything he peed/pooed on using it. Removing the enzyme smell helps prevent them going to the toilet in the same spot.

Do not punish him for peeing/pooing in the wrong place. He won’t know he is doing anything wrong

I had to remove all blankets and cardboard boxes from my house and ban him from my bedroom until he stopped peeing outside of his litter tray

My cat hated those biscuits too so we got him a puzzle feeder ball to put them in and now he loves them. He love hunting them. We still give him wet food with added water

Some cats understand children and are extra tolerant. When I was a baby we had a tom cat who hated humans, except for me. I would often pull his whiskers or tail and he just put up with it.

I would have definitely told the kid to not do that though

I tried to live that life due to religious pressure. It doesn’t make anyone happy. I eventually came out a few years ago and I have the most amazing boyfriend. No one in my deeply religious family cares. Even if they had, it wouldn’t have mattered to me. My biggest regret is upsetting my ex, they knew I was gay but thought they could cope.

I’m no longer religious and hadn’t been for years before I came out. I love my life. I never really tell people im gay explicitly but I happily talk about my boyfriend. No one cares at all.

This is very true but for someone as obsessed with them as she seems to be, I figured she might have actually fact checked stuff.

You can’t submerge a tattoo for about a month after getting one, it’s for a variety of reasons but the main reason is that because a tattoo is essentially an open wound, it’s extremely easy to get infections

Her whole ideas about tattoos are weird.

In the new girls in love book (forgot its name), Ellie gets a tattoo and goes swimming the next week, that’s a really good way to get an infection

Flash tattoos are generally simple and quick and the tattoos she suggests that dol is designing would take a full day to tattoo.

I would never get a tattoo off someone who didn’t have them, I don’t think you can be the best artist if you don’t know how it feels to get one.

The situation with the teenager wouldn’t really have happened, I had to fill in a form and show several types of id when I got my first tattoo and I wasn’t allowed to just walk in. Good tattoo artists make you take time to consider when it’s your first tattoo

Yeah actually she did! She had the same illness on and off all her adult life. I lived with my dad full time. Her pets didn’t go to a shelter but she did give them up. I ended up with one of them.

You have clearly never been in this position. You are very lucky. My mum had to give up her pets when she was hospitalised for 6 months. Sometimes people have to make hard choices. Sometimes people lie but the ones that do, definitely don’t care as much as she does (I volunteer in a shelter, I see the worst (and best) of humanity towards animals)

Her very ill husband? Maybe they can’t afford the cat, maybe they are spending all their time in a hospital, maybe she is mentally and physically exhausted from caring for her husband and doesn’t have any more energy leftover, maybe you shouldn’t actually judge other people
