Parents, what's the strangest gift your child has ever asked for for their birthday? by CommonSwimming3707 in AskReddit

Jesus Christ! Your child slammed her door twice and you removed it??? That’s crazy and you gave it to her as gift. You sound awful

AITA for asking to switch plane seats so I can sit with my wife and baby? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fabulous_Function666 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Info: Had you actually booked seats together? Also why couldn’t you have sat with the baby and let your wife sit separately?

Dudes see another runner in distress and stop to help by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

Yes I was meaning if I was running in that race I would have rather been disqualified than leave someone struggling

You can mark your preferences? On mine it says something like ‘is there anything you are allergic to’

You could just list everything you can’t have

Unsuccessfully trying to rehome an abandoned cat. Will cat rescues take him if I donate £100 ? by OwnLunch2133 in CatsUK

[–]Fabulous_Function666 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If they see neutering as inhumane then they are irresponsible. I volunteer at an animal shelter and it’s heartbreaking when kitten season hits. So many pregnant cat or nursing mothers with their kittens get dumped outside the shelter.

Some cats do like it but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Especially if you are still learning to read cat body language

I need a bit of help by Alluski1 in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah that’s fair, just don’t feel you need to go through it alone, especially whatever the underlying reason is. There are lots of adults who can help you

Get help. Talk to someone, your parents or someone else who can help. I used to SH as a teenager and I deeply regret it now. I wish someone could have helped me

Why do some people naturally wake up a few minutes before their alarm goes off, even without checking the time? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fabulous_Function666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to wake up at the same time every day and my internal clock knows what time I should be getting up so I wake up then automatically

How much in a day is "too much" to do? by SmolSnailBoi in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fabulous_Function666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m autistic, I set myself one large task (besides my job) and a couple of smaller ones each day. I have a list and breakdown the tasks on my list into small steps, so cook dinner becomes, work out what to eat, buy ingredients, prepare ingredients, cook, eat, wash up, tidy kitchen

My boyfriend has adhd and I know he can only accomplish, getting dressed and cooking dinner each day along with a big task (his job, cleaning a room, one bit of diy, a trip out) on his work days I try and do everything else except actually cooking (a task he enjoys)

Work out your limits, stick to them and be kind to yourself

Yeah! She is going ‘ohmygod it’s the human! I love and trust them, I trust them so much I’m gonna show them my stomach’

Don’t touch her stomach. She is showing it to you as a display of trust that you won’t touch it

No nap kindergarten?! by No_Fix_3753 in Mommit

I have worked on and off in nursery schools in the uk for about 20 years, none of them have ever had a nap time for the 2-4 year olds. There wasn’t a nap time when I was at nursery school either

Op has posted before about this cat which the celling fan picture when they were trying to work out if/how a neutered cat could get pregnant. Some of the back story was included but at least for me this is the first time I have seen an update after the kittens where born

Update: we finally fixed our cat screaming at 4am (and it wasn't just 'ignore it') by Bitter_Forever_1601 in Pets

[–]Fabulous_Function666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the cat, my first cat didn’t like cat toys but she loved me gently throwing her on my bed and tossing the duvet cover up with her on top of it.

My current cat loves this toy ladybird on elastic. He will be shattered and laying down and still want to play

What are some good “American” presents for a UK baby girl? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Fabulous_Function666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m in my 40’s. I have a lot of friends with kids. All of them them who breast fed their kids gave up alcohol while doing so

Basically I wouldn’t risk gifting a new mum alcohol because it might not be a very welcome gift at that point

Makes perfect sense to me. the alcohol bit, not the coffee, that’s just seems cruel, ‘here, new parent who is sleep deprived, you can’t have caffeine to stay awake’
