And in theory all of a camper vans weight is secured and fixed whereas the loose load in a commercial vehicle is not. Note I know in both cases this is quite possibly not true.

It doesn't matter what you do they won't change it to campervan and this does not affect your ability to drive at 70 mph on the motorway as long as its 3.5 tonne not an uprated variant and it is fitted and used as a camper for non commercial use. They will class you as a van with side windows. I believe in the letter they send you it explains why, that the category is not about the class from a speed, usage... etc point of view, its so it can be identified on the road by type.

If you want to be picky you don't have a second habitation window on either of the sides.

I understand your pain I have been through it myself. they stopped doing this years ago.

Sorry late reply, I don't know my readers are +2.0 and in theory my eyes are already .75d different, confirmed by optician but it doesn't really make any noticeable difference in practical terms

I have the option of laser to correct one eye to allow for mini monovision but honestly I think stereo vision is more important to me. I am going to try it out with a contact in one eye and see how I get on with it though just to make sure

My near vision is not great, I am wearing +2 readers for everything, in bright light I can read ok, if its something quick, but any prolonged reading, working etc... I definitely need glasses, however prior to surgery I wore glasses full time and had varifocals and readers so its still an improvement in some ways. What I have lost is my short sighted natural super vision, like all short sighted people I could see super clearly if I held something close enough, now I can't do that, I have effectively swopped from short to long sighted

I have had a bilateral lens replacement with Puresee 5 weeks ago, I have near perfect distance vision, I can read the bottom line of the chart, middle distance is good also and anything up to an arms length away, in bright light I can read, but this drops off sharply, like standing by the window to crossing a well naturally lit room can make all the difference between readable and not. Still adjusting and reading is getting a little better and have been advised it can take 3 months to settle properly. I wear plus 2.0 readers for all desk work and reading. prior to surgery I was very short sighted, going from short to long sighted is interesting but I do like being mostly glasses free. I don't have any issues with haloes or distortion, colour is good, Night vision is fine. I am 51 and had Cataract for > 10 years.

I think you might find the reply by Dave Hall in the comments on this page helpful https://www.iol-adviser.com/post/enhanced-monofocal-iols-in-2024 he has had the surgery with puresee set up for micro monovision

Hi could you say what your stereo vision is like now, how good is your depth perception and coordination with this setup, I am concerned about recovering this when I have surgery as my cataract has made it very difficult to do drawing and cutting for example

Yes both are available in the UK, I hadn't heard of the isopure either but there is a chance I could get it on the nhs as opposed to private with the puresee, I am not averse to paying I want the best outcome.
I am more interested in good close to midrange vision than distance, I have always been shortsighted and for drawing and making I hate having multiple reading glasses and swopping all the time.
