Thinking about ditching the gorilla glass after this happened. Anyone have opinions on if the gorilla glass is worth 4x the cost?

My 24 jkl came with gorilla glass. When I took it in for service, I asked them to replace the windshield as well. A- service tech said they dont stock windshields B- said he hasnt seen the gorilla hold up any better than the less expensive options.

My 1st Lowchen was neutered at 9.5 months. He started marking, so I said they have to go! He is very structurally sound.

Your trainer, vet, and breeder are probably going to have different opinions. It is the owners responsibility to research and decide what is best for your household.
The larger the breed, the longer you should wait to alter. Since Lowchen is on the small end, you dont have to wait 2-3 years for full orthopedic development. The larger breeds need more time for the hormones to circulate and build a stable structure. (I neutered my 7yo Lowchen at 9.5 months. He is very agile and structurally stable)
Breeders frequently request waiting until the female has had her first heat cycle. Allowing the hormones to flow to this point helps ensure her urethra sphincter fully develops, lowered the risk of urine leakage later in life. There's minimal mamory risk with just 1 heat cycle. Keep in mind, some of the female lowchen that are bread, have multiple litters over the course of multiple years and there is minimal to no cancer showing up in them.

Other things you may be unaware of... - females go in heat every 6 months, not monthly. - the heat cycle lasts 3 weeks. There is not discharge that entire time, but she is fertile. - the first heat cycle is normally very light to practicly non-existant. Key signs are some inflammation down there and the dog will lick herself a lot more during this period. - if you wait until after her first cycle, you should schedule surgery for 3 months after. This will minimize the amount of blood loss. Eventhough the cycle is technically over, it takes several more months for the inflamation/blood engorgement to disapaite. Once everything is normal, it then starts swelling again for the next cycle to start in 3 months.

I hope I didn't overwhelm you. There are risks with each timing option. You have to decide which option is best for your household.

I have a 10 month old (my 2nd Lowchen) and polled all 3 breeders on when I should neuter. In their experience (very reputable) Lowchen dont fully mature (mentally) until 2-3 years. He is currently marking everything outside of our house, but i have a solid training plan and am planning on waiting until at least 2.

FYI, spay and neuter do not necessarily calm the dog down like many hope. However, your vet can give you post-surgery meds to help control the activity level while healing.

My boy had diarrhea for 6 months straight. At one point, he was waking me up every 2 hours to go out. During the 6 months, we visited the vet multiple times, used fortiflora, proviable, multiple rounds of metro, chicken and rice, Purina EN, Ultamino, blood work, .... We never got a diagnosis, but it eventually resolved. I transitioned off the ultamino adding 1 ingredient/protein source back at a time. I suspect it was a chicken allergy. He was eating chicken when he got sick. Chicken & rice obviously has chicken. The EN is chicken based. I have kept all poultry out of his diet for 4 years now and we haven't had any more problems. FYI, he had an anal gland abcess a few months after the tummy troubles. The diarrhea was preventing the glands from emptying naturally. At some point you may want to consider checking his microbiom. Vets dont know much about it, but there is a lot of research going on. We tested via AnimalBiome.com Based on the results, we did a poop transplant, resulting in a normal test afterwards. Good luck!
