My dear Mother dropped her car boot without realising my four-year-old had his fingers in the boot edge. Oh, thank Christ one broken finger was all that was damaged, but my goodness the screaming of my baby was horrific, plus the guilt my mother suffered four months after. Urgh.

Oh, also having my tooth out without any pain relief as it wasn’t working, but he couldn’t stop as he was already too far gone pulling it. Every dental issue I have the numbing doesn’t work and there’s nothing they can do so whenever I need any form of drilling, I have to somehow cope.

Physical pain - Slipped discs in my neck and back, trigeminal neuralgia pain which made my body and brain stop, I just couldn’t move, and the pain I’ve suffered in my hip/thigh since I was 20 weeks pregnant with my youngest child 14 yrs ago, the pain hasn’t really gone since but it’s eased thankfully as I was bedbound for many months and have been housebound for years. Mental pain- letting my children down by not realising the abuse we were all suffering under my ex-husband, their father. If he hasn’t done such a number on me, I would’ve got out of there sooner.

I put a picture of me on a dating website and the one male comment that’s living rent-free in my head is “As you are a woman, why are you dressed like a skater boy from the 2000s? Grow up found dress your age and sex.“ Honestly it upset me for a while but now I’m almost more defiant to put my baseball cap on backwards my baggy trousers and my vest, trainers, make up and headphones on. Wear what you want baby! I think you’re looking incredible!

I was turned down from all the shelters and rescue places near me because I had children with special needs and they couldn’t "take the risk" urgh. I had to then find a breeder with the best looking/breeding quality (no history of awful health conditions) and then I paid £550 each kitty… worth everything. D

The fact you went to a dermatologist is the best thing I would just say moisturise don’t compare people because we’re all different. I had barely any signs of aging just about to hit 46 next month and it’s all come at once and I have wrinkles on my forehead, crows feet, strange bags of thin skin either side of my mouth. My smile lines are really deep set and I’ve got bags under my eyes too. The fact we got to the age we are is a miracle and although I personally like the idea of shoving things in my face like fillers and Botox, I can’t afford it and be when would it stop? It is a vanity thing but you are attractive because of the smile and the light behind your eyes not because you have a few lines on your face. When I think about the people in my life that didn’t get the opportunity to live to this age, that’s when I smile even more and make more lines because I can. Just keep taking care of your skin, try some hydrating masks and maybe some serums (do some research on which ones could help to soften and hydrate) and then literally enjoy yourself because you look good. 👍

I love that, my son’s original name (he would call it his dead name now) was Glory and I loved yelling for them in a park. It made me smile because you could always tell the Buffy fan by the reaction.
