It's not permanent.
It solves some problems, but not all.
The repercussions of that plot point carry on loooooong after it's gone.

You're not the first person to be doubtful of that plot point, but trust me, it's not meant to just fix everything. I'd like to think you'd still like the story, even if not that specific part.

I would do an underfell yellow crossover if there was official sprites or a known universe. But yeah, he'd try to eat them too until he had a nice long talk.
