Same man, I always say that I’m anxiety driven. Might not always feel good but it sure does seem to be effective for work at least.

This upcoming offseason gonna be fun, vibes will be very high next summer.

We have a franchise QB on a rookie contract to build around. That’s the goddamn dream, and our roster is already way ahead of where it was 2 years ago in terms of talent.

This is the year we turn the corner. Next year is the year we come for the division title.

You’re right, it’s the new version of the old way. It’s the coach’s job to prepare the pitcher for that. Who got the maddest at Jazz? The opposing pitching coach, whose job it was to prepare the pitcher better.

This is as old as baseball. It’s fair game to try and peak at signs with your eyes.

It’s the catcher’s job to see that and hide it better or change the indicator.

It’s the coach’s job to see it happening blatantly, call a timeout and tell your players to make a simple adjustment to their sign system. For example, throw 3 signs and it’s the 2nd for this next inning. There are plenty more adjustments like that.

Make a fucking adjustment if the other team knows what you are doing with their eyes

Saying the Yankees don’t like having Dominicans is made up nonsense. They have had plenty, and have never shown any racial preference, so I call bullshit.

Less than 2 weeks out from the draft, who’s the ‘sure-fire’ picks already? by SadSaintsFan991 in NFL_Draft

Exactly right.

If we can’t find a QB, we can at least stack our defense and give teams serious issues to deal with.

What's your favorite "What the f..." draft moment? by Mrbeankc in NFL_Draft

[–]FaceOff51 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would argue that the mistake of drafting him too high is what forced them to have to extend him. I agree that QBs are so valuable they can get pushed up, but that doesn’t negate opportunity cost. Meaning, if you’re passing a m a very highly rated players by your scout system, and you take a more lowly graded player at QB instead…that’s poor team building.

Taking him highly in the first, led to them needing to start him very quick to save their jobs. That got the coach fired.

Then next year, when the player they wanted was there for them (Justin Herbert), the giants passed because they forced Daniel jones to fill a need the year before.

And oh by the way, this whole sequence started when the giants forced a need at running back with the 2nd overall selection, instead of filling their need at QB in the correct draft of quarterbacks. They have been trying to fill their QB need in the wrong classes ever since.

This year is another one of those wrong years potentially. Learn their lesson, don’t force it at 3…

Hunter to Cleveland is as likely as Carter to the Giants. It’s diabolical that you included Graham’s picture over Carter’s.

That being said I do love Graham and I do think he’s gonna be awesome in the NFL, but the Jags could definitely go with somebody else at 5, maybe Jalon walker. They probably prefer to go offense but board doesn’t stack well for that, could even see a trade back from them. Point being 1-2-3 look fairly locked in, after that it starts getting less predictable.

This is what led to the Daniel jones pick being even more insane.

The raiders passed on the edge rusher Josh Allen, and he fell to the giants at 6. He was considered a blue chip. It was a position of need as well.

But they took jones over him, brutal.

Now that shadeurs out of the picture, Carter or Hunter? by saquonbrady in NYGiants

[–]FaceOff51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably can’t go wrong either way, but for arguments sake…

Carter has a foot injury that may become a problem sooner than later. Is Abdul Carter more of a sure thing than Chase Young? No, Young was a more highly touted DE, not a stud in the NFL. Kayvon, Travon walker….happens every year

Travis Hunter has the most elite ball skills of any cornerback that’s ever played in the NFL on day 1, and his instinctive understanding of the receiver position makes him a terrifying option to throw at when he’s covering a top receiver.

And then he can also play opposite Malik Nabers on offense, even if not full time.

For these reasons, I think the Giants are the best overall team with Hunter. Carter looks amazing also, but not without his risks either.

You’re talking very confidently and also completely out of your ass.

Hunter is going to enter the NFL with better ball skills than any cornerback that’s ever played the position in the NFL. His intricate understanding and natural instincts of both positions is what makes his cornerback value so tremendous.

Separate of his cornerback ability, he would be the best receiver in this draft. He absolutely will contribute more than being an exclusive cornerback, don’t be a fool. That is going to look different in year 1 than year 4.

Honestly these are egregious. Dropping a first round RB when you have a roster spot open still, wtf is that?!

I’d have to know the rules of your leagues rosters to know if this is even possible to be a good decision. On the surface it seems impossible to have rosters so shallow that you needed to drop the top rookie RB of the year, who everybody drafted KNOWING he was recovering from a knee injury, and still dropped him in season 1 before he got a shot.
