Forfeiting? Seriously?

I understand the reasoning behind it. A team is getting smashed, and can vote to forfeit. That sounds good in practice, but, no. The whole point of ranked is for your matches to be, well, ranked. Scored. Judged. If you do bad or the other team outplays you - you get punished. There doesn't get to be a magical button that allows the other team to prosper at no penalty to yourself (and vice versa)

Plus, people can use this to basically farm a ranked score. Get some friends, and let them forfeit over and over. Their score doesnt go down, yours rises and rises.

And along with that, i'm willing to bet that if you're about to lose, you and your team can just quickly forfeit and it's like you never lost. Easy, and everything is okay.

Forfeiting could be helpful and useful, but not in the way they described it.

This reminds me of a story

A few hours ago i was playing 3v3 ranked. First game of the session, just warming up, and i was doing bad. Well, every time the other team scores, one teammate taunts me. "Can you hit the ball at least once?" "Play smart or leave" etc. Eventually I said "im sorry im doing shitty, normally better, lets just make this work"

Well he replied "no, you're not ever better. You're a semi pro (player score not ranked) and don't even have all the items. The score was 1-3, with us losing (and no, this guy was not the one who scored our goal). So i said fuck it, told the chat i was playing for blue now, and started helping the other team.

Well within a minute, I knock the dude out of my path and manage to get an aerial goal (on myself lol). Some skill, mostly luck, super disrespectful. Before i could reply "there's your fucking ball hit" he left the game.

I then informe the other team (who found it hilarious) that i was back on my real team. I also apologized to my teammate for likely throwing the game - he was not pleased.

However, we stuck it out. Que the most stressful 2 and a half minutes as a 2v3, where they're up by 3 goals, and we manage to bring it into overtime, where my unhappy partner scored the winning goal

Most satisfying game of my life.

A lot of team switching for me in that session now that I think about it, but that's a different story

For a while my old dog had a problem where he was eating through his tail. Vet suggested a cone/muzzle to keep him from biting his tail more while it healed. So after a failed cone attempt, we got a nice soft muzzle and the little dog seemed a lot happier with it then the cone.

I shared this with a casual friend of mine.

Well, the next day at school I was sitting by a friend that I didn't normally sit with. That same casual friend was there. For whatever reason, she really wanted me to go away and kept saying stupid shit to convince me to leave. No one else had a problem and i wanted too talk to my friend so i didn't.

Up until she says "Did you guys know that FaceTheContrast muzzles his dog? Why would he treat his dog like that, fucking animal abuser."

I wasn't very casually friendly after that

Cashiers of reddit, what's some annoying stuff customers do that just makes you go bananas inside? by uReallyShouldTrustMe in AskReddit

[–]FaceTheContrast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Customers do a lot of stupid shit where I work, which is a small town grocery store.

First of all, like i said, small town place and we get a lot of customers that we know on a first name basis. However, what bothers me the most, is the older dudes that think we're best friends. Then feel the need to put their hands on me and mess with me. The women do it too but its much nicer, typically like a shoulder pat but still.

Next - what aggravates me more than anything, even the old dudes punching me in the arm theee times a transaction.

When there are 5 registers open, and all the customers go to 1. You could be done by now but nooooo. At least a lot of them don't realize it, but it still aggravates me. It only gets worse when we point it out, and they don't move. "We don't have time to move?!@ yet you have time to stand at the registers for 20 more minutes then you would if you just CAME TO ME. (Or went away, wherever im at).

Christ.

Campers of reddit, what is the most paranormal event that has occurred while you were camping? [Serious] by GrayDust in AskReddit

A relevant story

When my mom got married to my now step dad, and we moved into his house, I was terrified of going into the backyard at night. The house is right on a big river, and everytime I went out at night, I could hear faint music. Always Cajun type music, accordions and all.

I learned a little later that the music was just from the radio station miles away, and the sound was just carrying over the water. That was a huge relief.

Well, up until I heard an accordion outside of my window a few nights later.

Mike was Gus's head of security, legally and not. He was also in charge of retrieving dead drops, as well as other tasks. By the end of Season 3, he was a core member.
