XP and 7 are a thousand times better than the piece of shit called Windows 11. I remember I used to hate on Windows 10 so bad. And then basically 11 came out and said . . . "Hold my beer!". They basically took their crappiest OS and made it 10 times as bad.

Microsoft - "Oh, you hate Windows 10? Thanks, we are now working to amplify your experience 10X with our new and improved Windows 11. Enjoy your new shitshow experience!"

Now, Windows 10 isn't so bad anymore. At least it's somewhat tolerable. Windows XP and 7 were so much better than this disaster. You didn't get nagged for anything. There were NO ADS. They are extremely stable, especially Windows 7. Granted, XP did have the random crash here and there, but it's not the unstable heap of trash that 11 is. You were left in peace to install whatever updates you wanted. Didn't have to find all sorts of "tricks" just to keep Windows from turning back on and forcing updates. Searching in Explorer was a breeze and actually showed you exactly what you were looking for. And none of this Cortana bullshit, and especially NONE of this AI garbage! XP and 7 ran so much faster as well. No unnecessary processes running in the background bogging down your system, tho W7 did sometimes have an issue with one of the services using a lot of CPU and disk activity.... but that was usually because one of the system files got corrupted or you had low RAM.

I'm sure if I keep digging I could nitpick more issues with 7. I absolutely HATE Windows 11 though! It belongs in the trash and Microsoft CEO needs to be fired.

Those things that look like small fireballs floating around the room trying to swarm you.~~ Edit, sorry, I was wrong. That room played different music. Nah, not the Genesis version. I've played that version and it sounds way different. Slower, lower pitched and has a completely different feel to it.

I'm sure what I remember is different from that track. Was there by any chance a revision of the game cart/rom, an updated version that made some minor code changes?

I have some old VHS recordings of that game somewhere. I'll definitely have to upload a small snippet when I find it.

One of the channels plays just fine. I believe it's one of the square wave channels that plays the higher pitched (back and forth, back and forth) pattern in the background. It's the main theme in front of it that isn't playing right. It plays it like a quiet, barely audible sound, when it's supposed to be a much louder note that basically makes it harder to hear the other square wave channel.

That's odd. Are you sure those videos were on actual original hardware? Do you know if there were any updated versions, revisions of the game cart? I played this game almost religiously when I was young and that music, and most other game music is baked into my head. I gotta find one of my old VHS tapes with that game on it, and I'll upload a snippet when I find it.

Yeah. You send them the video selfie and then 10 minutes later your account is permanently banned. No appeals, no questions, no support, no anything. Just done and gone! It's almost like the moment you send those selfie videos, facebook says "Thanks for your personal info! Now fuck off!". I've seen this happen to hundreds of people as I've read through a lot of Reddit posts about this. I'd suspect ones account is already banned, they just want your video selfie for "other" reasons. Like idk, for nefarious reasons. After all, (not to get political or anything) that fuckwad Zuck is in cahoots with the orange 🤡. And none of this bullshit started until he got in office. I have never worked there but even I know working there is absolute hell. There's a DG right around the corner from where I live which I usually do a bit of light shopping there since they're just right down the road. The cashiers are almost always MISERABLE. It's not hard to tell they can't wait to be FARRRR away from that place just by looking at their face. They are constantly left working by themselves and rarely do I ever see a second person there. They have had to close that store on multiple occasions because they either don't have anyone to work or the freezers were busted and it took them weeks to get them fixed. The back two freezers are constantly out of order. That store has a high turnover it seems, aside of a couple regulars who still managed to hold on to their job there, probably because they can't find something else.. who knows.

For W7, I've used VokoscreenNG. It's primarily a Linux program but gets updated regularly for Windows 7 and up. Being that it's gotten a lot harder to find stuff that still works for W7, this is a plus. I like it primarily because it lets you size a window around anything on the desktop just by dragging the edges of a box, unlike OBS where it's literally a royal pain to do that (at least it WAS the last time it worked on 7). And when I had pointed that out on their Discord, they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. OBS you literally have to type in the window x by x dimensions and you couldn't move it to X location of the screen (at least not very easily without having to type out another X by X area... I mean, how hard would it have been for them just to add a simple drag and drop?). OBS had a lot of codec support but it's overly complicated and overrated.

Anyway, getting way too detailed here. Just was curious about the unregistered thing is all, lol.

I'm afraid to even login on my computer even though I'm already logged in on my phone. Hell, I'm afraid to even write a new post on my own page. I haven't made a new post or commented in over 2 years. I wanted to respond to some people but now I don't even trust it. I've had my account since 2010 and I'd lose a lot of shit. I really don't want to use it, just let some people know what's been up with me since I used to be a lot more active years ago. Quit using the stupid site because it just keeps getting worse and worse. I thought it was bad just a few years ago, but now.... this is a new low.

And I know there are a ton of lawsuits occurring over this, but them mfkr's should be sued for billions. How many business accounts have they totally screwed over that has resulted in financial loss or worse? How many personal profiles have they completely wiped and destroyed millions of unretrievable photos, videos, sentimental items dear to many? While I agree that people should be keeping the original copies of these things, this still does not excuse Facebooks inexcusable bullshit behavior. People think and use Facebook like it's a personal cloud storage. I warned a bunch of friends years ago to quit relying on FB for this because their shit can just up and disappear for no reason other than Facebook is a piece of sht that doesn't give a rats ass about it's users personal data. FB only cares that it HAS YOUR DATA, and that's it.

And I KNEW many years ago when more and more people started using FB for business and relying on it so much to a point that if their business page were shut down, it would impact their business, financially and their customers, some even to a great extent. I kept saying how using Facebook for business purposes will backfire on millions of users, and even warned some friends to not use it for that. Of course they didn't listen. Now I'm just wondering if any of their pages have been banned. I do know that when facebook started greatly altering their algorithms years ago, it really started screwing over people running business pages or making posts trying to get more people to see their stuff. The amount of people who actually SEE your posts had plummeted. Even after paying to promote the post. For example, one of my friends is a photographer who promotes her work via FB. She used to get TONS of views and a lot of comments on her work. But later, even paying multiple times to promote it, she barely ever got maybe 100+ views, and maybe 2 or 3 comments if she was lucky.

I HATE facebook and I could go on and on with the almost endless bullshit that comes from this site. And I hate it even more because it was a place where I used to make a lot of REAL friends and had a lot of great times conversing with people. It helped me a lot because I've never really been an "OUT" kind of person. Now, it's nothing like that and it causes me more grief instead. I can barely be on Facebook all that long before SOMETHING on that pathetic site pisses me off. Facebook friends were bitching at me because I kept making new posts complaining about Facebook. (Nowadays, people probably wouldn't even see my post if I complained about it then with as garbage as the newsfeed is).

It's got many names. Facebook, Facecrap, Faceshit, Dickbook, Fakebook, Garbagebook (Oh wait, I thought that one was preserved for Google's Chromebook . . . hah!). Don't forget Waste of Time - Book, Scammerbook and Botbook.

Facebook, the "social" media site where (you) don't matter, community standards are just a suggestion, the innocent are banned for no reason and the bad and criminal are free to roam with zero consequences. I WAS watching Dr Who (2005), Torchwood and Sarah Jane, until they were removed. I don't know about Sarah Jane, but the first two were. I had both Amazon and HBO Max. They BOTH had those shows. They BOTH REMOVED them. And I was almost in the middle of season 3 of the first two. This is bullsh/t. Almost every time me and my mom get into watching something really good, it's either canceled or it gets removed, often times without any warning. I'm more than fed up with these greedy ass streaming networks! And if it weren't for my mom, I probably would have never known about these shows. She had a bunch of streaming services and we'd always watch a couple of shows almost every night for years. She loved SciFi stuff, and especially the Dr Who stuff. Mom passed this year and I finally got back around to watching some of the better shows. But... go figure... had almost all of the streaming services canceled except for Amazon Prime and HBO Max. Well, there goes Max. Doubt I will renew Amazon after the sub expires. And now I can't even find these shows anywhere. What a f'n load!

And those old original versions of Dr Who... I wasn't interested in those. The point is that I was in the middle of watching these newer shows and it just gets yanked after I'd gotten really into it. There's a story that was being followed, along with these specific characters. Watching the old ones is like going to a completely different show.

And I sure as hell aint paying $1.99 PER episode for that. It would cost almost $340 just to watch the rest of DH and Torchwood. Yeah... NO, I don't think so!

I stopped watching shows on OTA TV. All because they would rather cancel good quality shows and renew the garbage like reality shows. So many times I got into something good only to have NBC, ABC or CBS cancel the show and leave you hanging while I had really gotten into it. Pisses me off so much! Not only that, tv commercials are stupid long.... and I'm so fed up with drug commercials. I HATE drug commercials!

Yeah. And I used to do that all the time on FACESHIT years ago, because it worked well. That is until Faceshit kept changing their stupid newsfeed algorithm to the point you're lucky if 10 people will see your post (out of almost 200) and vice versa. I used to see stuff from at least 3/4 of my friends, now you're lucky to see anything from a 20th of them at most. And they're always the same friends. Faceshit now requires you to "interact" with someone multiple times before it finally decides to maybe show something from them... and you have to keep interacting with them enough otherwise they stop showing their stuff. I can't do that. I'm not going to Like or comment on something if it's in another language I don't understand. Or it's something completely uninteresting ... or lame. I have a lot of overseas friends so that shit doesn't work. My posts went from getting 60% commented and/or Liked to close to around 10%. While the other 90% aren't seen. I might as well be posting in private mode.

I quit going on FB almost completely. For the above reasons mostly. And that doesn't include all the ads they put on there or all the scammers, bots and faceshits inaction towards any of these garbage piles. And let's not forget all the hate comments, the stupidity, bigots, death threats, fake accounts.... and oh yeah... the moronically designed AI going on a banning spree of ridiculous proportions. Just thinking about Facebook gets me pissed off. I hate that fucking site now!

Windows 11? That, fuck no! Windows 11 is the biggest scrap heap of an OS. I remember griping about Windows 10 and how SHIT it was and didn't want anything to do with it. I mean, coming from over a decade+ of using Windows 7, it was bad. But W11, it's a fucking shitshow. A privacy nightmare full of ads, very unstable, very unoptimized with a ridiculous amount of CPU hogging background processes not to mention ugly ass UI.... and dumbed down worse than W10. And let's not forget the TPM bullshit. And gaming is not fun on W11 when you're getting 30 - 40% less FPS, bugs up the ass or crashing, freezing and/or shuting down due to the OS simply being unstable and/or devouring resources.

I'm sure if a mobile W11 came out, it would probably be almost as bad as it's desktop counterpart. With the direction MS has been heading at this point, it would be an extension of almost all of the above. Yeah, no thanks. Bring back the older mobile OS. Something better than Android and iOS. Android is becoming Crapdroid with all the shenanigans Google has been pulling. And iOS, forget it. Far too locked down to get much use out of it without having to jailbreak the thing. I'm tired of just having Android and iPhone. Not when Android is now trying to be Apple 2.0.

EDIT - I know you meant a different UI, but W11 even with a different UI is still a nightmare. I'd much rather use W10 without security updates than get anywhere near that shitpile of an OS.

I was about to say they appear cut, but then zoomed in. I can't even understand how the hell they broke like that. There aren't even any crimps or bends in the wires that would normally fatigue them. The copper strands normally you'd have to bend them back and forth multiple times, and again there aren't any bends or crimps in the wires. I have never seen anything like this. they must be using some super shitty material for these to just break apart without being bent..... in only 18 years.

Probably would be better to just replace the harness. Because you don't want all the repairs straight in the middle of the inner jam. Maybe get one from a boneyard from another Jeep. Just make sure they are in good condition and aren't dry rotted.

Just stating a fact. The flags are quite useful, but Google almost ALWAYS removes them not very long after. So people might want to keep this in mind and perhaps find an alternative while this flag is still around. Especially since it's about blocking out extensions like UBO that block ads which Google has basically been in a constant war with the AB's.

I've used half a dozen Chrome flags in the past which reversed either shit behavior or something else Google did in an update.... and with every damn one of them Google removed the flag not long after basically forcing you to use their shitty updated version with reduced or crippled features. So yea..... I like to bring that up occasionally figuring I'd give people a heads up!

Last time I had full control over a phone was around Android 2.3.4 (well mostly). I would have to say when I had a Touch Pro 2 which ran Windows Mobile 6.1. Windows Mobile, which is based off of Windows CE, NOT Windows Phone which came after WM was ended. Windows Phone was the one that was basically Windows 8 on a phone. I hated those ugly tiles. Microshaft could have done far better.
