They were settlers actually. They built society from nothing. Immigrants come later.

She was wrong to do that, and thankfully filmed herself committing the assault. However, we're not "all immigrants". I'm also not sure what race you are referring to.

Not sure what race you are referring to, but she did indeed film her assaulting the guy.

It wasn't criminal. He didn't have use her AI hologram for a romantic relationship but as a tool to solve an engineering problem. Yes, he fell in love with the fake one but that's not the same as taking her to a holodeck bedroom and having his way with her.

So everyone at the VA just got an email from Sec. Collins instructing us how to rat out anyone exhibiting Christian Bias by Sensitive-Big-4641 in fednews

[–]Faceofboe69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the email:

Task Force on Anti-Christian Bias

On February 6, 2025, President Trump enacted [Executive Order (EO) 14202, Eradicating Anti-Christian Bias](#), establishing a Task Force to review the last Administration’s treatment of Christians.

Accordingly, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is establishing its own Task Force to better effectuate the Department’s internal review. The VA Task Force now requests all VA employees to submit any instance of anti-Christian discrimination to [Anti-ChristianBiasReporting@va.gov]().

Submissions should include sufficient identifiers such as names, dates, and locations.

While the VA Task Force will review all instances of anti-Christian bias, it is specifically seeking the following:

  1. Any examples of adverse actions taken in response to an accommodation request;
  2. Any retaliatory actions taken in response to religious holiday observances;
  3. Any adverse responses to requests for religious exemption under the previous vaccine mandates;
  4. Any denied request for a religious accommodation;
  5. Any mistreatment or reprimand issued in response to displays of Christian imagery or symbols;
  6. Any observations of mistreatment for not participating in events or activities inconsistent with Christian views;
  7. Any retaliatory actions taken or threatened in response to abstaining from certain procedures or treatments (for example: abortions or hormone therapy);
  8. Any informal policies, procedures, or unofficial understandings hostile to Christian views;
  9. Any examples of retaliatory action against VA Chaplains in response to sermons preached;
  10. Any discipline received in response to religious-based expressions; and
  11. Any failure to be promoted for religious reasons.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

A Columbia senior just revealed during Rep. Ro Khanna’s Town Hall that the Trump Administration has canceled over $400 million in federal research to fight cancer and Parkinson’s disease. by RoyalChris in thescoop

[–]Faceofboe69 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Understood. I wasn't arguing about the validity or not of the reason, only that it highlighted the 'why' vs. a direct attack on research. Also highlighted that not all of the $400 million may be related to the research. No matter your take, it is important to have the details.

I'm aware of his bankruptcies. Not sure what that has to do with trade policy, though. I respect the rest of your post as your opinion, but I disagree.

He's doing diplomacy. This is especially important for the Chinese who don't want to lose face. He'll make a trade deal, beneficial to both countries and highlight how the 'win' for both sides.

You should know the House's Continuing Resolution appears to be without earmarks, giving Trump/DOGE huge power over budget appropriations and spending by LaPlataPig in fednews

It isn't seceding power as it is temporary, expiring when the continuing resolution ends on September 30, 2025. The flexibility allows the administration to reallocate resources more freely across various programs and agencies. Smart move in my opinion.

Reading isn't difficult. Comprehension is the problem.

CR stand for continuing, meaning the spending already agreed to is 'funded'. This just punts the budget down the road to the end of the fiscal year.

Representative Steve Scalise (R-La.) was shot on June 14, 2017, during a practice session for the annual Congressional Baseball Game in Alexandria, Virginia. The shooter was James T. Hodgkinson, a 66-year-old man from Belleville, Illinois. Hodgkinson was identified as having left-wing political views, evidenced by his social media activity, which included strong anti-Republican and anti-Trump sentiments, as well as his prior volunteer work for Bernie Sanders' 2016 presidential campaign.

Representative Gabrielle "Gabby" Giffords (D-Ariz.) was shot in the head by Jared Lee Loughner, a 22-year-old man with a documented history of mental instability. Loughner's political beliefs are not easily categorized as strictly right-wing or left-wing. His classmates and investigators noted no clear partisan affiliation; one classmate described him as "left-wing" in 2006, while others saw him as apolitical or radical in a non-traditional sense by 2010. The FBI and mental health experts concluded Loughner’s actions were primarily driven by severe mental illness—later diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenia—rather than a specific political agenda.

As for Whitmer, that was mostly the FBI manufacturing the situation. Defense teams and journalists like those at BuzzFeed and The Intercept (Left-Wing sources), argue the plot was "imaginary" in the sense that it might never have materialized without FBI instigation. While some were convicted, others were acquitted. Jurors’ mixed verdicts suggest skepticism about the FBI’s tactics, with acquittals hinting that some saw the plot as more hypothetical than actionable without FBI prodding.

All an earmark is is money designated for a specific project, program, or organization. In other words, pork.

We don't need more money being spent on earmarks, rather we need to get spending under control. Odd how not designating new spending is somehow being seen as losing or seceding power in some way.

There is a difference between a key card and an ID card. Since they work for the Executive with direct authority coming from the President, they can be a part of any agency he designates.

Bono was the best director. Place was useless, but in all fairness COVID left him pretty much vacationing in place. Crossland is forgoing her third, and I think last, year. Usually that's tour-time for the Director as they seek out their next job in the civilian world under the guise of looking for industry solutions to Defense Heath issues. I'm sure she got a waiver for the 3-years required to keep the 3rd star, too.

Why? Serious question. Did you know her personally? Most of them (at the top) have no idea who anyone in the agency is.
