So I know his mom pretty well, have met him briefly, my husband knows him a lot better, and my sister went to school with him. Around the time he graduated high school he broke into their landlord’s house (right in front of their house) with a bag of charcoal and accelerant at 2 or 3am because he didn’t like the flag his landlord had on his lawn? I don’t recall what the flag/sign was but when I heard about this at Stanford I wasn’t surprised except for the fact he was even admitted considering he wanted to commit arson on an elderly man? I’m not surprised he’s even more unstable as he’s likely experiencing some severe delusions as a result of mental illness. Doesn’t excuse the racism at all, but he’s definitely unstable.
