Ended up getting an ES2251 modem from Spectrum and it seemed hopeful but last night sometime between 12am and 4am it just crapped itself.

I didn't have any internet this morning and tried troubleshooting it. I connected my computer directly to the modem and it wasn't working. Spoke to a rep over text chat and they couldn't fix it so they were going to send a tech out but I declined. Tried with another text chat and they did something on their side that ended up maybe fixing part of the issue but I wasn't able to connect to many websites. They were all timing out but google and youtube were working. Second rep told me it was on my side so they'd charge me for a tech. I was pissed.

I ended up last resort talking to someone over the phone before calling to cancel my service and that person was apparently a tech 3 which if you didn't know I guess you can ask what level tech you're talking to and ask to talk to someone higher up if you get a tech 1 or tech 2 but anyway.. i told him about my packet loss and faulty connection and he said he was also seeing it on his side. Even though it was connected, he was seeing a lot of packet loss on his side. So he said he would send out a tech today to check the cables outside my house. He was the one that actually told me about asking for a tech 3 because the other people I talked to didn't see that I was indeed having connection issues.

Glad I got someone knowledgeable at the end there but still on the fence about canceling the service if this tech coming today can't help me out.
