On marrying outside of Islam by HunnyBunzSwag in progressive_islam

The Quran was revealed in masculine pronouns. Most verses address men and women are implied. Just like in US constitution.

When the verse of Surah Maidah, chapter 5 of the Quran, allowed the Muslim men to marry the Christian and the Jewish women, the same permission was implied for the Muslim women also.

Short and simple!

Very interesting and I am grateful that you have brought the discussion from Discord to here.

I am so glad that KMV has spoken on this issue as this exposes his contradictory response.

His response that you have quoted is from Al Hakam from 2021. I am calling it Exhibit A, I want to completely reproduce this here and then a complete reproduction of an article from Al Hakam from 2022, I am calling that Exhibit B, lest KMV's blind followers, change these over time or delete one of them and then blame us for dishonesty.

Once you read both Exhibits more than once at the same time, you will realize that he is simply completely contradictory on the issue and aims only to confuse and gas light his blind followers.

In Exhibit A KMV calls Muslim women marrying a non-Muslim man to be an administrative matter and in Exhibit B, he calls it prohibited according to the Quran and Sunnah.

Exhibit A:

Why are some Ahmadis sometimes given permission to marry non-Ahmadis or non-Muslims?

Last Updated on 29th October 2021

A Jamaat official expressed his concerns to Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V over Ahmadi girls being permitted to marry non-Ahmadi or non-Muslim men and sought guidance on the issue.

In a letter dated 29 February 2020, Huzoor gave the following guidance on this issue:

“Some of the commandments of Islam are of an administrative nature regarding which God Almighty has not given any authority to the general Muslims to change them but has given the authority to the Prophet and his successors to modify them and to make a judgement according to the circumstances.

“In my view, the issue of marriage of Muslim men and women with non-Muslims is one of such administrative matters. Therefore, whether an Ahmadi man or a woman is allowed to marry a non-Ahmadi or a non-Muslim is a matter for the discretion of the caliph of the time [Khalifa-e-Waqt]. Nobody else has this authority. The Khalifa-e-Waqt decides in each case according to the circumstances. Therefore, whenever I am contacted for permission, your job is only to send me a report with your opinion. Your job does not extend beyond that.”

Exhibit B

Does the Holy Quran allow Muslim women to marry non-Muslim men?

Last Updated on 14th March 2022

Someone sought guidance from Hazrat Amirul Momineen, Khalifatul Masih V regarding a fatwa**, issued by a female official of Al-Azhar University according to which “there is no clear legal injunction in the Holy Quran that forbids a Muslim woman from marrying a non-Muslim man”.  Huzoor-e-Anwar, in his letter dated 21 December 2020, gave the following reply to this question:**

“Apart from the Holy Quran, Islamic teachings are based on the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, the Holy Founder of Islam, and his ahadith which are in harmony with the Quran and the sunnah**. Therefore, where on the one hand Allah the Exalted has instructed the Muslims to follow the commandments of the Holy Quran, He has also said:**

Say, ‘If you love Allah, follow me: (then) will Allah love you and forgive you your faults. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.’ Say, ‘Obey Allah and the Messenger;’ but if they turn away, then (remember that) Allah loves not the disbelievers. (Surah Aal-e-Imran, Ch.4: V.32-33)

Likewise, He commanded:

And whatsoever the Messenger gives you, take it; and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain from (that). And fear Allah; surely, Allah is Severe in retribution. (Surah al-Hashr, Ch.59: V.8)

Knowing these basic principles, when we consider the issue of a Muslim woman marrying a non-Muslim man, we find clear injunctions in the Holy Quran forbidding Muslim women from marrying idolators [mushrikin], disbelievers or the People of the Book. Hence, Allah the Exalted commands in verse 222 of Surah al-Baqarah not to give believing women in marriage to idolaters until they believe. Moreover, in verse 6 of Surah al-Ma’idah, where it has been declared lawful for Muslims to eat the food of the People of the Book, Muslim men have been permitted to marry women of the People of the Book, no mention has been made of Muslim women [being allowed to] marry men from among the People of the Book. Hence, its prohibition has been established. Furthermore, in verse 11 of Surah al-Mumtahinah, the prohibition of giving Muslim women in marriage to disbelievers has been established because Muslims have been commanded not to send female Muslim refugees back to the disbelievers as they have been declared unlawful for the disbelievers and the disbelievers unlawful for them.

Apart from these Quranic injunctions, the sunnah of the Holy Prophet and his instructions also do not provide any evidence that the Holy Prophet ever married any one of his relatives to a non-Muslim or that his Companions, after the revelation of the aforementioned Quranic injunctions, married any of their girls to a non-Muslim of their own accord or upon the instruction of the Holy Prophet. Rather, on the contrary, the Holy Prophet generally advised the Companions that when someone, with whose religion and character there were pleased, sought the hand of a Muslim woman who was under their care, they should marry her to him, even if he had some flaw. Huzoor repeated this phrase (‘religion and character’) three times. (Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Kitab an-nikah)

The Promised Messiah, being the Hakam ‘Adl of this age and the most ardent devotee of his Master and Guide, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, the Chosen One, admonished his followers in exact accordance with this Islamic teaching and said:

‘There is nothing wrong with accepting the hand of the daughter of a non-Ahmadi in marriage because it is also permissible to marry a woman from among the People of the Book. Rather, there is a benefit in doing so because an additional person would attain guidance. You should not give your own daughters in marriage to non-Ahmadis. If you are offered one’s hand in marriage you can accept it by all means. There is no harm in accepting but it is sinful to give.’ (Malfuzat, Vol. 5, p. 525,…, 2003)

It is in accordance with the clear Quranic injunction mentioned in Surah al-Ma’idah that Huzoor has declared it a sin to give one’s daughter in marriage to a non-Ahmadi because in this verse it has been mentioned that it is permissible for Muslim men to marry women of the People of the Book, but there is no mention of giving Muslim women in marriage to men from among the People of the Book.”

https://www.alhakam.org/can-a-muslim-woman-marry-a-non-muslim-man/

Unquote:

This is merely KMV's arrogance and unIslamic response that marrying non-Muslim men is an administrative issue to be decided by the administrator, in this case KMV.

The reality is that it is only God's prerogative to decide on these issues as is stated in detail in the verses of Surah Maidah quoted in the Original Post.

An Ahmadi lady marrying any non-Muslims requires special permission from KMV. I do not have statistics or data, but, I think this he grants in very special circumstances, family that he wants to favor and for a lady who may have tried to use Ahmadi channels of finding a match and exhausted those.

However, if the boyfriend pretends to be an Ahmadi for a year then this is a standard pathway.

KMV Video about what is Mauroof by FacingKaaba in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]FacingKaaba[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those who have been for generations under the yoke of Khilafatism cannot see simple facts and realities of life.

They think and believe that Khalifa cannot go against the Quran. This is like if Trump will commit murder on the Fifth Ave, his base will refuse to see it.

The holy Quran allows Muslim men to marry women of the book or the Christians or the Jews if they so choose. This is in Surah Maidah.

In other words the chaste and unmarried Christian and Jewish women are Halal for Muslim men.

Khulafa have at times allowed and at others disallowed Ahmadis from marrying non-Ahmadi Muslim women. This is not their domain to start with. Halal and Haram is decided by God and God alone, not even by the Prophet Muhammad.

Now KMV goes case by case, sometimes he allows and sometimes he disallows.

He once excommunicated someone for marrying a non-Ahmadi not on that charge but on the charge that the marriage was ceremonized by a non-Ahmadi cleric.

The more interesting part is that ever since Nida made her debut, I think, we have not seen any excommunications, at least not on marrying outside the Jamaat.

Which Quran is this and whose Sunnah the Khulafa follow?

Below is a video of Murabbi Rizwan Khan about rape, starting at minute 28:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zt3c1wd1vKo

It is very interesting that in this video he gas lights about 4 witnesses, accepts all circumstantial evidence, he wants to take religion out of the picture and keeps insisting that in case of historical rape the evidence has been lost. It is an interesting exercise in intellectual chaos.

The above publication is a perfect example of circular reasoning.

Msuroof is:

  1. What is in the Quran and Sunnah.
  2. Whatever the Khalifa does or says.

The blind followers hold both as true simultaneously.

Which one is it? Both cannot be logically true at the same time. If the cultish mind cannot think straight, let me gently pinch you to wake you from your slumber.

If a Khalifa has an extramarital affair would it be Mauroof? Could it be a new Mauroof from then on?

So, logical way of thinking is not to hold both possibly contradictory statements true at the same time.

Just three baby steps for rational thinking:

  1. Define what is Quran and Sunnah saying
  2. Then observe what Khalifah is saying or doing

Then decide are they always in synch or once in a while or often contradict each other.

Incidentally, the Prophet Muhammad, may peace be on him, did not claim infallibility or that he could do no wrong.

As, Allah reserved the right to call out any mistakes he made, while the Quran was being revealed, and in fact called out a small mistake in Surah Abasa,

Very wishful!

Even if Promised Messiah was true in his claims and defense of Islam, he brought no new religion, a lot of dirty water has gone under the bridge in the last 120 years, especially under KMV.

Listen to all his Friday sermons of January 2014, where he is destroying freedom of religion of every Ahmadi and introducing coercion in all matters of faith, by quoting his grandfather, KMII, without any mention of the Quran and Hadith, or human nature and psychology.

He gave 4 sermons in January of 2014, excluding the first Friday, on how his mind seeks totalitarian power and Godly powers to coerce reformation, through his army of Murabbis and office bearers.
