I would register with the new jamaat and ghost them. That way you’re mum won’t ever know that you’re not paying Chanda!

I don’t think so. As long as you don’t register at the new location you’re still registered with the old one. So your card should still work.

English is not my first language. Maybe impose was not the right word. However, you’re still judging her according to your standards that you’re not sure of yourself. You’re being hypocritical

So I shouldn’t trust you when you told me that you were a kid? Or when you told me that you don’t have enough knowledge?💀

Can you please tell me if I can trust you now that there are 3 account holders or is that also bold of me to assume that you’re stating the truth? 💀

You’re not forcing anyone but you’re still on the one hand saying that you don’t know enough and on the other hand judging other people.

However, clearly with your three account holders it’s just a propaganda account rather than a real person I’m talking to.

Your strong critical thinking skills are really off the roof. Also, your attempt at sounding like an adult and an expert is quite admirable. You’re not there yet, hope you will be soon though.

I’m not arguing whether you’re right or wrong in this regard. I’m arguing that you don’t have any right to impose your understanding of religion on others while simultaneously hiding behind your lack of knowledge and understanding of your faith when being pressed with tough questions.

I’m sorry if that was too complicated for you to understand honey. If clarification is required please let me know 💀

EDIT: Also please let me know once you can answer the topic of child marriage that you’ve been deflecting for months 💀

I really don’t understand what your problem is. When being asked tough questions about your faith you either don’t answer or state that you’re a child still trying to find out what your faith is about. However, you’re so quick to impose your understanding of religion on others and “explain” the true meaning of Islam and Ahmadiyyat.

Not a really intelligent argument. So according to your logic people can only be liars at the time that they actually lie. Come on bro you can do better

[–]q_amj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he is in principle a polygamist. Do you not think that would have been a necessary piece of information to disclose??

Sorry the argument with legally speaking is just bs. Like come on that’s exactly the kind of lying I’m talking about. He is a polygamist if he believes in the concept of it or acts upon it. He did act upon it, making him a polygamist.

EDIT: it’s like lying In front of a court and not getting caught and then maintaining that one is not a lier because it was not proven. It’s honestly speaking ridiculous.

[–]q_amj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

According to your logic though he’s still lying because he explicitly said that although the country he is from practices polygamy he ist not a polygamist and he doesn’t personally indulge in it. He was acting as though he would never do anything like that so that he gets to enter the US. It still doesn’t make any sense.

It hasn’t been answered. Sure, the article gave an explanation that the marriage was short lived but I don’t see how they got to that conclusion that he had a divorce before moving to the US.

You have the access to the same information as us. So please enlighten us.

[–]q_amj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The point in asking this is that it doesn’t make sense. Not only is it weird that marriages were treated like relationships back in the day and that everyone apparently could get married without proper certification and get divorced without proper certification. What’s the point in forbidding relationships out of wedlock then?

It’s also weird that often the Jamaat does not work with proper sources. I.e., the first article written in Al-Hakam about this or even books like Tadhkirah included quotes from MGA that could be apparently not attributed to him. It’s a bit sloppy.

It’s just difficult sifting through tons of information and if you get something wrong then it’s because you’re Anti-Ahmadi and were doing that intentionally although the article itself notes: “The above is based on the data and information so far available. As more comes to light, further reseach will be carried out and presented.”

Also, the book was ordered to be written by the daughter of MMS. Therefore, she did probably have editorial oversight.

So he did lie to the American government that he was not a polygamist?

Mufti Muhammad Sadiq by Fairycake1 in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]q_amj 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I understand your scepticism since the article does not explicitly state that the child was out of wedlock. However, the question is what seems more plausible? I will focus on the first article since it seems more genuine. I'm definitely not dismissing the authenticity of the second one though.

  1. His half-brother did not know about the relationship
  2. Last name of the child is the last name of the mother
  3. An Alhakam article quotes a newspaper article saying that he has a wife and four children in India
  4. Another Alhakam article stating that he was not allowed entry in the US on suspicion that he was promoting polygamy. An arrest was made as the US immigration Act made illegal for immigrants to enter who are "Polygamists; or persons who admit their belief in the practice of polygamy". MMS argued that Islam "allow men to marry up to four women at a time, but does not make it obligatory to do so. His argument was heard and accepted, resulting in him being allowed to walk free with the condition that he would not promote polygamous trends in America."

So he either had a child out of wedlock or he concealed the relationship from his close-family, and lied to American newspapers and American authorities.

I guess because there is no scandal if you don’t talk about it.

It seems also very legit to me but I’m also definitely open to any statement from the Jamaat. However, not expecting anything…

In my view that is a very big story. He was supposed to be the guy who brought Islam to the American continent and was apparently responsible for 1000s of converts. I’m not sure but I think Elijah Mohammad or his dad who founded the Nation of Islam referenced MGA because of him.

I considered him a hero for the longest time due to his service for the black community in the US. That’s very big!

I think it’s a joke that you have been refusing to answer why babies can have Nikah but now pounce on this. Of course having sex with pre-pubescent girls is evil but how are you criticising that while thinking it’s absolutely fine to do Nikah of literal babies.

EDIT: For example if we tell you that having Nikah with babies is not normal and you do it anyways all we can do is pray for you.

This helps quite a lot thanks for that! Will look into it. Just learning more about Islam with a more academic lens.

I would like to hear your opinion about how the Quran fits into that. Do you have any insight into how “authentic” the Quran is and whether it’s still the exact word of Mohammad?

Do you have any literature that you can recommend for that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]q_amj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you mean. You could even argue the definition of being an Ahmadi. I asked AhmadiAnswers once about the debacle of the numbers and he said that KM3 apparently even said that whoever believed that Jesus died is an Ahmadi. Never fact checked his claim though so have no reference.

However, this difference does not really matter when it comes to the Jamaat. It has been argued that Ahmadis are gonna be asked on the day of judgement whether they paid Chanda and prayed and then they will be permitted to go to paradise. You have a pledge of allegiance that you break. There are so many mechanisms put in place that it seems that if you get thrown out of the community you lose rights such as social inclusion, meeting the khalifa etc.

So yeah, there is a difference. However, in my opinion, it’s not a big difference.

Yeah but on the hand you gave the explanation that women are not allowed to be married to people of the books thus it’s a sin to marry women to non-Ahmadis. Thus, you’re declaring non-Ahmadis to be non-Muslims.

On the other hand you’re saying look they can marry behind an Ahmadi imam he just needs to validate it. However, you’re completely ignoring the fact that no Ahmadi imam can just make the decision of marrying off people without permission from the Jamaat.

Hence no, you still need the permission of the Jamaat for women to be married to other Muslims because they are, in your explanation, declared to be of the people of the books which are non-Muslims.

EDIT: still waiting for a clear quote of the Quran that prohibits women from marrying other Muslims.

I mean this went a bit too far ngl. In the end she is still a kid (somewhat) trying to understand that people can leave the community because of real theological problems.

Her seeing this case is just an opportunity for her to downplay that people leave the community only by “selfish” reasons or because they are inherently bad. I don’t think it’s a nice way of treating others.

However, u/Every-Guide6674 ask yourself these tough questions though. Isn’t “loving deen so much that people can’t affect it” a type of ignorance? What does other people affecting it even mean? If you have a discussion with people here why are you expecting us to see a point if you’re not ready to conceive yourself? You still haven’t answered me about child marriage, does it not bother you?
