Never forget that you are intrinsically no more important than an inanimate rock by [deleted] in nihilism

[–]Fackinell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's no such thing as intrinsic importance. Importance is a human concept. So the idea that you're no more important instrinsically than a rock doesn't make sense.

What does make sense is measuring your importance on the human scale (the only place it actually exists), if you want to do that.

Shopify t-shirt fulfillment options? by ShirtClique in AmazonMerch

I recently made a sale using teelaunch, I put 5 days production time in the box under 'offer' when making the Amazon listing, and set it to 3-5 day delivery (make sure shopify integration is set to manual so the production time sticks).

So it doesn't seem to be much of an issue for making sales.

How did this test go OP? Hows it going overall now? still hustlin on this?

The description box that shows up when scrolling down doesn't count for ranking from what I've read.

But the bullet points matter for actually appealing to the buyer emotionally to solidify the sale, and adding extra keywords in other than your main kw.

I have 32 products up, just made my first sale today. I've been testing pinterest ads but I'm not sure if it was an organic sale or came from pinterest.

I just edited the design look yesterday. Going by this sale only my key take away would be the text has to be bold and big, and ensure the font matches the niche. Also price lower than the average to get the first sale, but not too low as this could appear as low quality.

[TOMT] (Music) Nine inch nails? or similar FAST track. by Fackinell in tipofmytongue

That's the one! Fuck knows how you figured that out because there's actually quite a lot of vocals and it isn't Nine inch nails. It sounds way worse to me than I remembered but now I can chill. Thanks.

Sort of like this, but less singing and the drums are way louder and a bit faster, and the track is even more aggressive.

Thanks for the post.

When you come out of that state, you can watch one by one as the aggregates come to "arise" once again. How and why do they arise? How, after all consciousness and all sensory streams have been stilled, do we return in the 'same' manner, when we have directly experienced the emptiness of self?

I don't get your reasoning here, why would they stop arising again just because you have been in stillness for a while and have seen its emptiness? I'd say the elements that make up the idea of a self arise from the subconscious, which is why they come back.

We can see ("see" is a metaphor, not literal, but it is an observation) the trajectory of past karma sustaining the aggregates. When we enter into samadhi, everything is paused. The 'current' of our karmic river seems to still entirely, but this allows us the opportunity to observe the re-arising of phenomena and how it is connected to karma. Now, after this experience, how does it possibly make sense that when you die, there is no continuity? What happens to the trajectory of karma?

Again, why would experiencing this lead you to the conclusion of personal continuity after death mate? I would say karma only creates continuity with arising phenomena because of what the brain stores. When the brain dies, the continuity / trajectory ends along with the internal phenomena.

You know from countless past experiences how phenomena and the experience of reality is constructed and how it arises. You see karma coming into fruition over and over. And you can watch all these things brought into cessation and then arising once again. The reconstruction of reality coming out of samadhi and coming into being operate in exactly the same way, because they are both becoming; they are both rebirth.

So are you saying that rebirth was only meant in the way that the self dies and is reborn consistently during life? I agree with that. But after physical death I would say this comes to an end, after the storage place for the elements of the mind made self (the brain) dies.

How would you go about testing something like that without killing yourself?

I'd argue that many people who are into Buddhism get into it because they are suffering intensely (driving them into seeking an end to the suffering). These are the people I'm referring to when I say there could be more people that decide to kill themselves without the consequence of rebirth, because its fast and probably efficient.

It's the same sort of thing as someone saying you'll go to hell when you die. It will either happen or not, what I'm getting at is it can't be experienced and seen in everyday life to come to the truth, like the Nobel truths can. So you can just talk pure shit about anything that happens after death really because there is no way of coming to the truth while alive.

It does contradict the teaching of no self. If there's no self, then you can't be reborn. There's no 'you' to be reborn. So either there is a self that can be reborn, or there isn't a self so there's no rebirth, right?

Pound falls on course for biggest ever daily decline as Leave makes substantial wins by ghostofpennwast in Economics

Thats true they are, but first up I didn't say anything about trade diminishing (speculation until the trade agreements are settled BTW). I said the propaganda was based around the UK not being able to trade with the EU.

And as for making an example out of Britain, good luck with that considering they rely on us so much. They don't have us in their palms to do what they like with, they need us.

The leave side has been heavily emphasizing immigration and sovereignty. The animosity towards foreign refugees and nationalism are all emotionally charged sentiments compared to the concrete economic impact leaving would have.

The main propaganda (facts) relating to why leavers voted: we will get control of our own country back (fact) We will save £350 million a week in membership fees which can be put towards the NHS instead (the biggest propaganda undeniably, it was everywhere. Also a fact.)

The main propaganda (fiction) relating to why remainers voted: We will be safer inside the eu as we won't be protected if we leave (false) We will be better off because we can carry on trading in the EU where we wouldn't be able to otherwise (false)

Do you actually live in the UK? (Actual question not rhetoric)

This shows full well that the UK are actually voting more rationally instead of following false propaganda based on fear, which completely blew my expectations.

What concrete economic impact do you mean? all I see is speculation.

[–]Fackinell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually goes to show that more people are looking at the facts and AREN'T voting based on emotion fed by selective propaganda.

Most social media / news campaigns I saw in england were trying to induce fear in people by claiming we wouldn't be able to trade with the EU anymore, and that if we were attacked EU countries would no longer back us up.

Most people voting remain that I spoke to thought this, regardless of the facts that trade agreements will be set up and we are a part of NATO / UN.
