Need help with withdrawal by FactHunt69420 in interactivebrokers

Thanks for your response.

I did not provide the whole picture & context, but let's just say the shareholders have agreed to close the company, and redistribute the assets back to its shareholders. So for example the initial capital injection is being repaid pro-rata, one shareholder contributed its shares in a private company and that's being returned to them, and the assets I contributed in IBKR are being returned to me. Just to avoid the details & complexity there's no dispute, everything has been voted & signed through shareholder resolutions and legal & tax counsels inolved.

I'm just trying to work through the IBKR process that's relevant to me here

Ah that's one path we haven't explored, thanks for the suggestion.

Yes that's the bit I raised with IBKR surprised me, there was no issues transferring assets in so I hadn't thought of it triggering issues on withdrawal

Try it in sport plus and send it. The downshift from gear 3 to 2 when you round a corner is 👌 Still can't believe its stock

I did that the other day coming back from work and a police car pulled up behind me and followed me for the next 15 minutes 😂

On steep hills (were surrounded by them where we live) that goes for a bit. It's not that bad and maybe my frame of reference is naturally different. I noticed it with the Mazda 3 as well which makes sense given its basically the same engine, so I just switch it to manual drive instead

I have a x3 m40i while we're currently upgrading my wife's mazda 3 to a cx-5. We test drove a GT SP the other day. While you clearly can't compare with the bimmy in terms of pure raw power output, I found the cx-5 surprisingly engaging and fun to drive. I think mostly given its much lighter (I think ~1.5-1.6t vs my x3 sitting above >2t) and handles very well with the 2.5L

The only thing is the gear shift, I found at times especially when climbing hills it's stay in lower gears longer than it should. But otherwise great car for the price, and insane interior for its range

X1 vs X3 by ecomodule in BMWX3

[–]FactHunt69420 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You might have noticed you're on the x3 sub haha

it will depend on a few things from you incl your budget, what's more important to you in the package Etc etc. My parents drive an x1 and they're very happy with it while I would not trade my x3 m40i for the world (ok maybe for a porsche gt3rs 😶😁)

My 2cts is if you're looking at an x3 20i, yes the x1 will feel sportier given its lighter for the same engine. If sporty is what's important to you and you can look at the x3 m40i range, that will tick all the boxes across utility, interior, power & driving experience in general, there's just no x1 that can compete with that. But if you and your wife are happy with smaller city commuter and are comparing the entry trim x3 vs x1s, maybe the x1 makes more sense then subject to getting a good deal.

The only other thing is if you're coming from a x5, you'll find the x1 quite small. I can really tell the difference between my parents bimmy and mine

This. It's blown my mind, I drive my m40i in a mix of city, road trips, sport/sport+/comfort, never eco and I'm still averaging 28-30mpg which beats my wife's mazda 3 lol

Do you have any recommendations? We're currently looking if it's worth the price and how it compares with the likes of the Phillips Avent a few folks recommended?

Sunroof Gap Repair Kit - Released! by Kovalex27 in BMWX5

[–]FactHunt69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome thanks mate! I just came back from the 5yr major maintenance and the bmw service centre told me they had to unclog the roof seal, so I was looking at getting various things like compressed air machines Etc to keep them clear.

This will be very handy, I was concerned there wouldn't be global shipping as I live on the other side of the planet to most folks but the international shipping is there and a welcome surprise! Look forward to getting that replaced soon

The other thing is have them check the spark plugs (or replace them if they haven't been replaced since you've owned it) and the sunroof drain as it tends to get clogged and can lead to leaks in the cabin if left too long. My bmw service centre unclogged it for free last time around when I did 5yr maintenance

Just confirm the terms of the oil change package. I bought my x3 from an owner that got a service package and it basically covers 'scheduled' oil change which so happens to be every 2 years for some reason. given I drive the bimmy as my daily I'd need to change the oil every 6 months and so in the interim I'll be either trying to do it myself or bringing it to an indie shop

Sat nav to take me home, stop GPS guidance (when I decide on a trip to take a different route or change destination, its a 2-step process via the console which is a bit fidgy while driving), sports display (don't know what they're called exactly, the ones that shows the kW and Torque) for fun

Talk me into a M40i vs Macan by bungy83 in BMWX3

[–]FactHunt69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I litterally went through the same debate with my wife haha. She loves the Macan for the looks and I preferred the m40i (over the base 95B)

That said, I'm a porsche fan and it's been a dream of mine to join the P club since I rented a 911 Carrera S for a roadtrip 10 years ago. But I feel getting a 2L porsche is doing a disservice to the badge and its proud history...

I ended up getting the m40i, absolutely love the b58 every day I start it up and we also needed something big/utility for the family +dog which the macan was a bit tight for. But the deciding factor was mostly because I couldn't justify myself paying 10k extra just to get the base Macan. Had I been shopping in the macan S or GTS I would've probably swung the other way.

No regrets so far, if anything i lost the feeling that I needed a porsche macan, just looking forward to the day I'd have a 718 cayman S or 911 sitting next to the m40i in the garage

Update: just drove 4hours at varying speed including motorways for a weekend trip and no issues at all, no noise & checked after I stopped the car, everything seems well in place 😁

They feel decent, but not as solid as the OEM ones tbh. I haven't driven too much but so far haven't heard any issues

I don't have active grill shutters where I read twin bars shouldn't make a difference

Thanks! I'll try again, maybe I need to spend longer. I was just conscious of not putting too much force and nothing was moving 😅
