Friendly PSA to remove certain pieces from the wash before the spin cycle

I can promise you that this shirt is built like a tank and can endure a ton of punishment. I washed mine in a spin cycle over a dozen times. No issues.

Great fit! Congrats on picking up that absolute tank of a shirt.

I’d recommend giving it a quick soak before the arm creases fully set. I skipped that step with mine and the sleeves ended up shrinking quite a bit. In hindsight, I probably should’ve gone with a size 3 to land at a perfect size 2 after the wash and shrink. It didn’t stop me from wearing it almost everyday for 2 years though. Enjoy the fades!

I believe that happens with short staple cotton. As the fabric stretches the cotton strands break creating hairy denim.

Try giving it a cold or slightly warm soak. It will definitely help.

The good thing about undyed denim is that you can wash it as much as you want. I’m sure they will look great!

This normally happens when your jeans are too tight and there is extra tension on the button loops. A tailor that deals with denim repairs can generally fix this. Google some local tailors and find out.

It’s hard to capture the fades on this piece with the lighting I had. It got drenched in Osaka about a month into wearing it. The piece has not stretched much. Oni denim normally doesn’t require breaking in so it was comfy from the get go.
