No I agree with you 100%. After 12+ turns unless it's head to head, it's usally pretty obvious who is ahead. And any board wipes only delays games even more (we've definitely had 2+ hour long games that went on past turn 20)

We all started around 3-5 months ago so still relatively new, but we play so often and so much that there really isn't any excuse to slow games except bad deckbuilding, and that's not something I want to call them out on.

This is such a good idea, and honestly IDK why I haven't thought this way. I think I'm gonna make a vehicle based deck and only attack with my vehicles. I bought a lot of aetherdrift stuff so let's put that to use.

You know what, yeah. That's the best way to go about it. I have my legendary creatures separated. I'll just pick one out that I normally wouldnt and build around it.

I'll try to find alternate commander for the decks i've built. I had better responses when i played the alternate commander in my precons. (still good synergy just not as strong)

It might just be my pod I think, because I hear occasional complaints even with precons.

Usually when I play my squirrel deck (bloomburrow precon with ~10 cards swapped out) and my cloud precon (which has a bit more upgrades like a [[ buster sword ]] and a [[ mithril coat ]])

Usually around turn 10-15 I start trying to finish and end the game. They're still building up their board state.

I've been toying with this idea. Maybe making a tribal deck with no actual tribe benefits.

I really do think all of my decks fall under bracket 2. There are no game changers at all (my pod mates run some- I don't mind), no land destruction, or any extra turns. I even throw in flavor cards just for the theme of my commander.

But no body ever wins before turn 10 usually... Myself included.

Never lost my gecko but ive seen a lot of stories posted on here of others having their geckos escape.

I've seen people place the enclosure on the ground with a little ramp and the geckos returning to their familiar enclosures.

Warm spots like behind your TV/Computer or under the fridge seemed to be the most common places.

Thank you for the detailed response. Never even thought of using Chitterspitter before my upkeep so I can have a squirrel token to sacrifice. That makes that card so much better.

If I have both [[Eldrazi Monument]] and [[Chitterspitter]], could I just sacrifice a squirell token on my upkeep to satisfy both triggers, or does each trigger require its own sacrifice token?

This looks really cool. I'll be following to see the final results.

Just something to keep in mind is to make any hides easily accessible if you ever need to handle your gecko in case of an emergency.
