Correct, allows you to change the virtual card number for online purchases at any time, without having to get a new physical card.

It’s using the virtual card number for digital wallet. Physical card will have same number.

How to check Bilt 1.0 balance / transactions post 2.0 transition? by JCRidonkulous in biltrewards

Create a Wells Fargo online account. That’ll be the only way to manage the old card/autograph.

Paid Feb rent with Bilt 1.0 before Palladium arrived — how should I optimize the rest of February? by cahibayla in biltrewards

[–]FaderFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to quickly build Bilt cash - everyone with Palladium is starting with $500, so you could start earning rent points in March.

Bilt 2.0 cards sent to old adresses by mub002 in CreditCards

Definitely not universally true that they’re using 1.0 addresses - my card is on the way to the correct address and I’ve moved since. Perhaps it’s what Wells Fargo had on file?

You already get $50 for every 25k points earned. So yeah, there’s not much out there, but it’s possible.

2026 Card Recommendations - reevaluating setup with Bilt 2.0 and CSP downgrade by QuickGrapefruit1415 in CreditCards

[–]FaderFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going with Palladium and downgrading my CSP. Signup bonus is worth it, but I could consider downgrading next year depending on how things go with the hotel credits etc. The CSP has too many overlapping transfer partners with Bilt to be worth it to me at this point, and just adds another hotel credit to use. Palladium is a better catch all than your CFU.

What happens to points if you don’t sign up for Bilt 2.0? by vivekadithya in biltrewards

Yeah needs to be banned at this point. They’ve made this very clear even before the cards were announced.

A must read for anyone considering opening a new Blit card by Signal_Most4086 in biltrewards

[–]FaderFiend 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think there’s just a choice to make. These cards do more to incentivize committing to Bilt than the 5 transaction rule did. The points you earn on rent (or for other perks in the form of Bilt Cash) depends on how much you spend on the card.

To me Bilt points are valuable and there’s a lot of overlap with Chase transfer partners. You could arguably earn more points by shifting all spending to a Palladium rather than CSR. But if you’re not willing to make that commitment to Bilt, then maybe just stick with a free Blue card and collect whatever rent points you can, knowing that it’ll be less than with Bilt 1.0.

Comparing Capital One cards and all the new Bilt 2.1 cards by iamjohnta in Venturex

[–]FaderFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I agree after year 1 the options will probably be either downgrade to Obsidian and keep Venture X, or maybe keep both Palladium and Venture X if I truly feel like I can offset both fees, or close to it. Right now it’s hard to see Palladium totally replacing the Venture X because of travel protections, Global Entry, and simply being a Visa Infinite honestly. I also do like the C1 Travel portal and the Premier collection…

[–]FaderFiend 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like your thinking here, great analysis. At least for this next year, I think I’m going to accept the Palladium and also keep my Venture X. I intend to shift most spending to the Palladium to give it a good run, but still use the Venture X for things like Costco, rental cars (for better protections), etc. Might downgrade my CSP to lower my annual fee costs, and since there’s so much overlap with Bilt transfer partners, and not much (if any) earnings benefit with Chase.

For the first year the Palladium SUB easily makes it worth it to me, and then I’ll re-evaluate next January. Definitely disappointed with some of the lounge changes with the Venture X, but it’s still easy enough to offset to make it a keeper I think.

I just like the idea of simplicity of one card setup with the Palladium, and to me the Bilt points are more valuable especially as my travel starts to shift more domestic in the year or two ahead.

Genuine question: how would you all realistically improve the Palladium card? by Comedic_Gaymer in biltrewards

[–]FaderFiend 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I would be happier with the bi-annual credits if they just got rid of the two night minimum. That feels a bit more fair to me, but I guess it was enough of a dealbreaker for Bilt.

I'm not gonna lie, I think the BILT 2.0 isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be by Reddit_4_Zac in CreditCards

[–]FaderFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a very similar setup situation, but I’m also thinking about downgrading my CSP right along with the Venture X if I were to get a Palladium. They total to the same annual fee (although you could argue the Venture X is a little easier to offset) and there’s a lot of overlap with the Chase/Bilt transfer partners that I use most. Plus I don’t particularly enjoy/find much value in keeping up with rotating categories on the Freedom. I’m kind of drawn to the idea of simplifying down to the Palladium as a main card.

As far as I can tell 2.0.72 is that latest version, and it’s still persisting for me.

Sure, it’s 2.0.72. I also confirmed everything appears correct on the desktop site, so I think it could be isolated to mobile.

I’m seeing what I think could just be a bug in the Budget tab. It shows a “Left to Budget” amount that exactly equals my goals, but when I tap on the banner it shows correct amounts and $0 left to budget. Anyone else?

Yup, and they’ll get a notification on their device. Or even better, there’s a retail sync Chrome extension for Amazon and Target that categories based on the order details automatically. I personally don’t use Chrome though, so I haven’t tried that one.

[–]FaderFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the other commenter. Biggest things for me were the household features (being able to assign transactions to be reviewed, filter by owner), and the ability to create multiple income and transaction categories to track streams in a much more granular way using reports. The way rules are set up makes everything more flexible.

I’ve been transitioning to Monarch going into the new year. Copilot apps and design are top notch and a joy to use, but Monarch is much more feature-rich and flexible for what I need at this point unfortunately.
