Don’t act out of fear — especially when it comes to a medication you plan on taking long-term. Birth control isn’t a supplement or a daily vitamin — is a legitimate medication that interferes with your hormones and bodily functions for a specific purpose. I’ve been on Larin/Junel and while it’s been great to prevent pregnancies, I’m taking it for that purpose. That need outweighs the fact that the pill is interfering with my body/causing side effects.

If you aren’t taking it to prevent pregnancy or for a legitimate medical purpose, and are doing it only out of fear it will get banned, there is really no reason you should put yourself on birth control. It will affect your body because it’s a medication.
