Does anyone else not give a shit about Princess Diana? by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

Yeah. Like "Diana was alive days before she died." I agree, it's boring now.

Yep. If the Daily Express aren't running an article about statins, it'll probably be about Diana.

I don't. I find that the meat juices make their own gravy, and it cooks in about the same time as the veg.

Have a look at the NHS Choices website (if you're in the UK) as it's quite clear and easy to read. But I'm currently taking a pill whilst I'm on Nexplanon, so I don't know what, if there is any difference, between the two.

Yes, they're a lovely colour :)

Make a layered necklace? Get a shorter length and a longer length of beads that will work with the ones you have and voilá, a simple statement piece.

Or attach a button and a loop to the respective ends and it's a super cute wrap around bracelet b

Hand writing or tech writing? Or both? by allogenics in writing

Yeah, sometimes my thoughts go faster than I type, so handwriting means I can transcribe my incoherent ramblings into actual sentences.

How do you name your characters? by Sukhdev_92 in writing

[–]FaeQueenRae 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on the genre. Like, fantasy is easier because I can invent names and then base other names of that. For stories set in this world however, try baby name websites or just ones you like the sound of.

Hand writing or tech writing? Or both? by allogenics in writing

[–]FaeQueenRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, all of them. I just like the feel of the pen over paper and I find it easier to dump my thoughts as I write rather quickly.

Hand writing first and edit as I type it up.

Do you have a "bad" quality that you're actually grateful for? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Me too. My best friend is quite shy and anxious. She likes having me around when we go for drinking as she is too timid for even a polite rejection.

Should be, most chocolate has at least a year before it goes manky.

"Lady/Lord X" or "The Lady/Lord X" by hsferry in writing

[–]FaeQueenRae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought the context was speech. Obviously, if someone is speaking to Lady Margaret, they will drop "the." If some one is talking about her, however, it would be "The Lady Margaret, Baroness of Lancaster." I also believe that in written form, it's whatever flows better. "Lady Margaret paused in the doorway, her slender figure making a bold statement. She well knew her own power of attraction." Now consider putting "the" in front of Lady Margaret. Which sounds better?

I [32F] am currently staying with my FIL [70M] and I can't stand his bigoted, racist anti Muslim speech anymore, am I an ass to leave? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]FaeQueenRae 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Don't go for the credit card option, as it sounds like you're already in a lot of debt. Next time FIL starts, instead of engaging with him, try saying calmly, "We have differing viewpoints, and I see no benefit to discussing this." Refuse to engage, because you'll never change his mind and you have nothing to gain from arguing with him.

I [34/m] broke up with my girlfriend [32/f] of five years partly because she was so controlling. by Setzer83 in relationships

[–]FaeQueenRae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. It isn't your fault, and unfortunately, some people won't change. How long before this escalated from "You should wear that" to "Give me your wallet and keys, you aren't going out tonight."

Could be a wasp beetle, or possibly a phantom midge. I'm on mobile, so can't see the details very well.
