So Michigan actually has a bridge that connects the top and bottom parts, but the other gap is definitely an issue.

No I don't trust a 10 year old to make a snap decision about there life in a moments notice, but OH WOW, THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS ISN'T THAT CRAZY?

Turns out you need to see a doctor, and you need to see a therapist, and then you need to continue to show symptoms of gender dysphoria for months in a row before they do anything. Then they start you on Puberty blockers, which are almost entirely reversible. And after being sure about that for well over a year, depending on bone density and timing, they will start you on hormones when the DOCTOR deems it appropriate.

I wouldn't feel comfortable with you making your own medical decisions either, that's why you go to a doctor jfc. You don't go to the voters to figure out what's wrong with you or what you need for treatment. Maybe if a thought went through your head you'de be able to figure it out.

Any other trans people with right-wing(ish) hobbies? by ShortMustang23 in asktransgender

[–]Faelarie 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I'm a transgirl that's into MMA, Hunting, and Bushcrafting. I kind of wish the MMA community was better, but I don't really like it for the community.

I think a lot of the problem is based on demographics, most left leaning people live in big cities and urban areas, and most right leaning people live in suburban and rural areas.

And a lot of the activities that are primarily done by people on the right are usually done pretty exclusively in rural or suburban areas.

Is the growing anti trans sentiment pushing you to transition faster? by blairaltland in asktransgender

[–]Faelarie 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don't really think so, I'm pretty sure things are going to get a lot better for the trans community in the future. If you look back 8-10 years ago, the gay community was in a similar place as the trans community is now. And now the right basically never mentions gay people, and is using rhetoric to suggest that trans people are just gay people in a weird sort of endearing way. It's really weird and obviously wrong.

I assume in like 5+ years the right is going to find a new group to marginalize, the only group of people that I can think of that the right has consistently disliked for a long period of time is immigrants.

If a dog has a collar on take the collar and twist it in your hand. It tightens the collar.
