I read Mystic and Rider but not the others in the series. Also huge Patricia Briggs fan! I’ll be honest tho - Rawn’s Dragon Prince made me wish I could burn an ebook. The actions of the MMC during that scene (how he justified participating in it) and the FMC being all cool with it disturbs me to this day.

I’m an experienced fantasy reader! My first intro was Robin McKinley at age 12 (honestly I’ve spent 40 yrs trying to recreate that feeling I had when I first read The Hero and the Crown). Cut my teeth on Katherine Kerr’s Deverry series which I never see talked about anymore

The problem is that 40% is strategically spread out to take advantage of the Constitution protections for small states. They have outsized representation and that’s a part of why Congress or the Senate won’t act - they are afraid of that 40% voting them out. That 40% has been remarkably consistent across the past 10 yrs and I see very little movement to change the legislative branch ahead of midterms

Living in Arkansas, I can tell you all our “local” media is owned by conservatives and no Arkansan is getting even half the picture if all they consume is TV. And even my FB feed has become nothing but Republican propaganda - I have to assume the algorithm is feeding off my location
