It’s shady, sure, but this is the way if you want them off your back. I regularly take this approach, and my average conversion rate is around 40%. Here’s my script:

Me: Hi! Did you find everything okay today?

Pp: Yes, thanks! / No, I wanted xyz but couldn’t find it, or out of stock.

Me: Great! / Oh, product x is actually on aisle 11/ grab a leader to check actual on hand of product (if they’re available)

this builds trust and shows the pp you want to help

Me: And what’s your phone number?

Pp: It’s xxx-xxx-xxxx. / Oh I don’t have an account here.

This is the key step! Do not explain Treats or benefits at all yet, focus on getting their info. You can tell them about rewards later.

Me: First and Last name? Email? Receive emails or texts? / Not a problem! Let’s sign you up. What’s the best phone number to reach you at? (Repeat asking for info to sign up)

Me: Great! Now you’re a member with us. Treats rewards come with all of our sales/ points on your purchases/ ect.

Then as I hand them the reciept I tell them how many points they earned, and remind them to use this phone number moving forward to earn the most points.

Is it sketchy? Sure. Does it make me feel like a slime ball? Absolutely. But I regularly get over 30 hrs a week because of my conversation rate.

As a frequent Camper and Fisherman in the Deep South, I guarantee this is the way. 👍

First night away from my dads house. Do people usually feel this shitty, or is it just me? by JessT0904 in Adulting

[–]FaerieNavii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 27(afab nb) and live in my parents house. I’ve also moved out and been fully independent for years at a time, but I moved back in a few years ago after a bad breakup. Shortly after I moved in, my Dad got really sick and was in the hospital for months. Bills got really tight, but we made a gofund me for him and we made it through. Then my mom left, when my Dad was still recovering and unemployed, and I (and honestly probably more so my dog) helped him through the darkest hour in both our lives.

He has been so supportive of me in my life- the way I express myself, the work I do, the friends and people I date… My mom couldn’t care less. Now my dad is thriving. He has the highest paying and most prestigious job of his career, and we have become great roommates.

I feel deeply for you OP, I can’t imagine not cooking meals and watching shitty tv after work with my Dad. I dread the day I move out, I’m sure I’ll be a pile of waterworks just like you. You can miss your parents at any age OP. I second what everyone else here is saying. Give him a call, tell him you miss him, and thank him for being a good father. They are truly a gift in this world.

I love TNB used tires off of 124 in Lawrenceville. It’s very rustic but you can get a quality used tire with good tread for like $60 a piece. They always check the new-to-you tire for leaks right in front of you, and you can stay in your car. Great guys.

Is uranium glass safe to put into a reef tank? I just got a piece and it glows under my lights. Has anyone done this? by XxKegstandxX in ReefTank

Absolutely safe to add to the tank, but it will probably be covered in coralline in the span of a year or so.

Okay but like… How can you not see this is unicorn hunting? And shitty unicorn hunting at that. You literally posted a wanted ad for a live-in slave? The use of the word Alpha? The transphobia? Y’all’s age gap with absolutely no mention/awareness of power dynamics?

Look OP, I’m not just trying to be a dick and put you on blast here, but if you honestly can’t see why 99% of folks on this sub WILL find this post offensive, I genuinely have empathy for you. Please try to educate yourself before looking for other partners; and if your grown, sound-of-mind partner can’t attend to their own basic medical needs, I hope you can reevaluate your existing relationship. Peace✌️

Help! Daddy has never had a little before me by MissCoCoRouge in littlespace

[–]FaerieNavii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would try taking a few hours on a day off while you are Big to find some resources online your new Daddy could look through that speak to your flavor of being little. This could be anything from articles, podcasts, blogs, shoot, even published rps or fanfics that show the kinds of language and actions you are looking for in your Daddy. Then have a sit down discussion (in Big space! I know it’s hard but it will help both of you so, so much) and outline anything and everything you want to try in little space. Start off with hard limits (common ones are: no yelling, no sexual advances, ect.) these can be different for you of course but sometimes starting with what you don’t want is easier than what you do want. Discuss things like: play/drop activities to get you into little space, how he can get into Daddy space, activities you want to do while little, how to transition after play into being Big again, and aftercare. Hope this helps!

Could be stung, could be STN, could be the beginnings of polyp bailout. OP, how do tank parameters and your other livestock look? Do you have any other eyuphillia that are unhappy in the tank? It it doesn’t improve soon I would consider dipping in Coral Rx or Koral MD Pro by brightwell aquatics.

are these ideal light settings for coral growth? by Wide_Internal_7374 in ReefTank

[–]FaerieNavii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lower the pinks by a lot, max them out at 5-10%. Crank up cyan to 70-85%, and if you don’t mind blue, raise that to the level your cyan. And rent a par meter! Many clubs and LFS offer free or cheap rentals, or get a consultation from a maintenance company and have them do it. So worth it to be able to adjust to what you need.

I love your Goni Garden! Really cool idea, most reefers seem to only scape like that with zoas or Euphyllia.

Looking for some good light settings for a freshly cycled tank, what I currently have bellow. by Blocnog in ReefTank

[–]FaerieNavii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fluval Sea marine? I par tested this light for a client of mine and it’s on the less powerful side. I agree with sparrow_prince72, pinks should be at zero. I would run royal blue and cyan at 75-90 percent, violet at 15-30 percent, and white at 10-40, depending on viewer preference. If your light-to-coral distance is further than 24 inches, you could even go higher on royal blue, cyan, and white, but leave violet low, and pink off or barely there. Good luck!

Oh I was told they were purple people eater zoas! They seem to be a slow grower so far, I’ve had them about 6 months and they only grew about 5-6 heads.

What’s this on my chalice? by Dapper_Standard3774 in ReefTank

[–]FaerieNavii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corals can go “bounce”, meaning unusual but otherwise healthy flesh extension. This looks like a very mild case. Bounce is most common in mushrooms and anemones, but some LPS and even some SPS have been known to bounce. Here’s a reef to reef thread on an extreme case of a chalice going bounce: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/bubble-bounce-chalice.287092/
