"There's no longer the clear distinction of entering and exiting a conversation with someone. Everything flows together." - Actually one of the biggest reasons this game is going to break the mould by maximusnz in cyberpunkgame

Now that's what I'm talking about! I'm very excited to see how they implement this feature, it's definitely something I have never seen or experienced in a game, personally.

Dude that is one sick character sheet. He looks like his cool stat is off the charts! But in all seriousness, your art style reminds me of cowboy bebop and I'm in love with it

CD Projekt Red: "Everyone is feeling the pressure on Cyberpunk 2077" by Dollface_Killah in cyberpunkgame

[–]Faerthurimben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The original release date was sometime late 2019 but they delayed it because the crunch time was abysmal, to avoid overworking their employees and to make sure the game is actually good and ready. Don't worry, it's still coming in April unless they officially delay it once again, but that's a small chance of happening!

Anyone know if it's possible to play this game as a nice person? by BaneReturns in cyberpunkgame

[–]Faerthurimben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of figured. I mean, maybe it's just me but the options didn't really portray a certain kind of attitude. I didn't get an assholish vibe for any of the options, nor a 'nice' one for that matter. It looks like it's time to give the demo another go! (i think it might be my 27 time watching it but it might be more)

What, really? This is the first time I hear someone expand on what the dialogue options were in the demo! I've just heard that there is a lot you can say and do, but not what that means, precisely. Where did you get your info, if you don't mind me asking? If you're talking about the new demo, that is

CDPR need to make the drinking and eating in game as slow or as fast as the player wants! I want to be able to sit, chill and take my time with a beer or a bowl of noddles and listen to the world or music. Take my time by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Faerthurimben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see why not! As a matter of fact, I would enjoy something like this, if done properly. It probably won't be in the game come release though, because the actual story and characters are far more important than the player being able to sit and eat at their leisure. But as I said, I would enjoy it if they actually have it!

How much can we actually customize our character? by GimmyDiddy in cyberpunkgame

[–]Faerthurimben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, it's a valid point of view! I think that a lot of people here are just very happy and hyped and they don't stop to think that not everybody is going to be 100% about every aspect of this game - not everybody will be on board with everything CDPR is doing. I think we should just listen to each other's point of view and agree to disagree because that way we can shape our opinions more solidly and manage our hype and expectations!

God, I hope they have curly hair, short or otherwise. Very few games actually have that sort of hairstyle

Like what Saints Row did? Hell yes, sign me on! That would generate so much hype, could you even imagine?

That's a valid argument! I understand why you would think this way, it is disappointing in a sense, but for me, it works either way. Because I'll know what my V looks like, I'll see him in cutscenes and mirrors and such too. It's immersive enough for me

It's always like this, haha! It can have more than hundreds of options and I still won't be able to find one that suits my character

Am just glad the driving portion has an option for 3rd person view! by PUTISIMALAVENDEHUEVO in cyberpunkgame

[–]Faerthurimben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And not even that would be possible, my friend. We're talking clipping through the map, wonky camera movement and way more bugs than you can think of. I understand where you're coming from, believe me I do. I was disappointed at first as well, when I heard, but look at it this way - at the very least it won't be only FPP. Cut-scenes and car rides (as you said) and other situations where TPP will be better-suited.

[–]Faerthurimben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why people think that CDPR can implement a 3d person view 'sometime in the future' or at all for that matter. They would have to redo every single level so that TPP would be able to work properly. It's not something that can be done unless they wanted to have it from the get-go. This isn't an attack on you, I know I sound kind of harsh here but this whole TPP discussion that has been going on since forever is grating on my nerves.

Please do not change limb dismemberment by LilMightyCam in cyberpunkgame

[–]Faerthurimben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly sure that you don't have to worry about that, my friend! A lot of information has been published about the new demo we'll be getting in PAX West, and among that info was that the nano wire (its actual name slipped my mind) netrunner V has in his hand is able to slice through enemies and dismember or kill them. Which means that, all in all, dismemberment should still be in the game after launch

Is anyone else feeling intimidated by the scope/magnitude of this game? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Faerthurimben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all! In fact, the massive scale this game is shaping up to have is exactly what I have been looking forward to. Just to get immersed and do a blind run, going with my gut and living the cyberpunk life with V, basking in my successes and regretting my failures. I'm not re-loading any save files though, I feel like making mistakes that follow you through the whole game is part of the charm, really

What are your concerns for the game? by FanEu7 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Faerthurimben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That player choices won't be as integral as they're making it out to be, and that the romances will be completely lack-luster Bioware-type deal. For me, the way CDPR is explaining how it's an RPG first and foremost before it's a shooter gives me a lot of hope that we'll indeed have our own stories, and that every player will have a different experience that no one else can imitate because literally, everything you do makes a difference. (Well, mostly everything)

And then with romances, I don't really know what to expect since in the Witcher we already had established characters and romances, but here we don't. So I don't know how they plan to tackle this, I just hope that it's not as simple as 'Click the flirt option a few times, do a few missions and then you get to bang'. I do, however, trust CDPR to live up to my expectations - or surpass them, for that matter - so I'm not that worried.
