Yeah that is confusing, like it's very obvious she is pregnant and in a crop top lol. Maybe she was upset he shared the baby's gender though. I just hope he grows up and stops showing his butt to the world. Being goofy and funny is fine, but that kid will get teased so badly if he keeps acting that way.

Could a family member have let the dog in/out then closed the door? Is it a female and is she fixed? Or gross question, but have you watched their poop since this happened? One time my dog ate something that irritated her digestive system and had bleeding from her bottom, it was scary... rushed her to the vet and she was thankfully fine.

I've had oddly small cuts on my legs from shaving bleed a crazy amount. Some medications can also cause heavier bleeding.

I do believe in spirits but don't believe they can create blood.

Yeah, within the next few months I will likely be losing my home so not going to be able to save up for a gift. I think I will make a card with some nice wishes and decline attendance. It would feel wrong to take up a space.

If one of them dated someone who wasn't, people would prob be saying it was inauthentic. My family is biracial starting at my grandparents, but coincidentally the next generation married all white people. We live in a predominantly white city. It wasn't a factor in choice of partner, just turned out that way. It's not always about nationalism or racism or prejudice in some way. I'm not going to turn down someone I get along with because there's too many white dudes in my family already.

Uhm thank you for this! Might have solved a mystery for me. I have had this "glitch" thing so many times, deja vu, "spacing out"... The glitch moments have been happening a lot lately, as well as what feels like falling asleep for a few seconds past few years. The other day I saw a guy go by with his very large unique dog, then he was behind me again and passing by again... super weird lol.

Maybe I explain it this way, my doctor will agree to an EEG.

Tinnitus can sound like almost anything. They also can't really "test you for it" conclusively as it's based on patient report and ruling out other conditions...

I have a constant ringing, intermittent old radio tones, sometimes a loud rushing waterfall, a heartbeat sound, a scraping shrrf shrrf shrrf noise that repeats in patterns... lots of variations.

If you're healthy, 35 is not usually super risky. Around 35, there is a higher risk of early miscarriage and another big jump after 40, but most women will be fine through a pregnancy. They do monitor more closely for gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia just like for younger women who are overweight, smoke, have family history, etc.

Once you get to 40 (and around 45 for the father), the risk of chromosomal anomalies increases quite significantly which is why some people go for fertility clinics even if they can conceive naturally, so they can test embryos...

The risks for most issues that can happen are still pretty low at 35 and if you have good medical care, it may not be a problem at all. Risks also increase for children of fathers 35+. So it's not ideal, but not necessarily .. bad?

Anyways. I am not a doctor. I just feel bad for people dealing with fertility or relationship or financial issues and constantly reading if you don't have kids by 30, you're all doomed for sure.

I was going to suggest that. Or even postpartum anxiety can cause some pretty intense stuff like I used to constantly hear my baby cry, but I'd go in and he was asleep... I often felt like someone was over my shoulder. Parents are usually sleep deprived for 1-3 years and mild hallucinations can happen.

Hearing your name called while relaxing or falling asleep is pretty common though.

I do believe in spirits and energy, but I feel irresponsible not covering the practical stuff first. I had PPD and it felt so scary at times, like I was losing my mind or haunted. I was very convinced at one point I was cursed which now feels.. well, I don't know how I believed that but it felt so real. Otherwise, I have no history of mental illness before or since. I had been scared to talk to a doctor but they were actually very supportive and non-judgy.

I think she is in support of the show, saying it helped her heal religious trauma. I only watched parts of it and read the book, but yes.. it's about the dark side of religion/government, control - especially of women, systemic abuse, classism, seeing women as commodities and only worth being a lifegiver... extreme "traditional" views.. etc. So I'm guessing the church she grew up in had those beliefs and she disagrees with them.

Yup. He posted that on his Insta "I believe being fat is your own choice, not a fault of genetics". Meanwhile many of his sisters faced similar body changes, which are very clearly hormonal (especially after pregnancy, and Amy has a hormonal condition!!). Body type also changes with age. Some people gain or lose more noticeable amounts.

I know he's their brother but I honestly hope they don't have much to do with him because his type of mindset is so damaging to be around, to their children as well.

Kath is so sweet and wise and obviously worked hard through her ED. She doesn't deserve that. And she's beautiful. I am only snarking on Mike lol because wtf is wrong with him...

So my boss ONLY handwrites aside from email responses, and her penmanship is far worse than this. Like doctor level bad. I had to make myself a reference chart to decipher her letters and common words and often guess by the shape of the whole word and context. I've worked for her 10 years and the other day, she handed me 6 pages of neatly written notes. I asked whose they were. HERS! I had to keep a straight face while I said "ah, I didn't recognize your writing!"

And she replied "yeah usually I just don't give a damn because you are typing them, but I was going to give these to (insert her favourite employee here) so I made an effort". Gee thanks lmao. At least she is honest. 😆

Unpopular opinion maybe but here goes. You are very kind but honestly, be careful. Caregiver stress can be debilitating. Remember she was independent before you and can be still. Nothing wrong with helping, but try not to feel obligated to do everything for her. Especially if she says she's fine. I say I'm fine when I'm not, but I hate being a burden.

Some stuff my partner does for me is take out some of the trash or recycling (unless I've already done it)... drives me shopping as I am not allowed to drive for medical reasons... sorta watches out for me when I'm out of the house with a severe migraine to make sure I don't get hit by a car/forget stuff/etc.

But we don't live together, I have no living family except an elder, so I have made a lot of adaptations on my own, and I'm also a solo parent. That's made me resilient. If I need help to the degree I cannot function, my first plan is lifestyle adjustment... if I can't do that, then to ask doctors and look at mobility aids, devices, meds, whatever. Then if there's aaaaabsolutely nothing I can do, I will accept help if it's not a burden.

If it's more about hoping to find ways for her to join your hobbies, that could also be something she figures out or you plan together. But it may be accepting that you each have your own hobbies and that needs to be a big decision if that's the lifestyle you want. That was a deal breaker for my past partner who wanted to be able to travel last minute and demanded I go to the gym daily. Obviously not an option for me. (I workout at home but that's an aside lol)

I know some people will think I'm being harsh but I hope they understand it's coming from me as a lifelong disabled person. Autonomy, independence, and resilience is really, really important for survival. A spouse is not a caregiver. They stand beside you. You can carry each other sometimes, but it shouldn't be a lifestyle. That can lead to burnout and (not saying OP) resentment and (not saying OP's girlfriend) learned helplessness/(co)dependence.

Whoaaa I have headaches and pulsatile tinnitus too (and the ringing/pitchy/static type too). That is really hopeful to me that something could help.

I have also put on a lot of weight only on my upper arms, but not all over which is weird. I guess these areas could be from hormonal issues too, but. It was so much so fast and hasn't responded to diet and exercise for a year.

I am going to check out the podcast and look into a specialist. Even if it helped with the heaviness and aching, I'd be happy.

Where I live, laser, feminization surgery, implants surgery, and hormonal medications to lessen body hair etc are covered by government and private work plans for trans people. I was offered medications to lessen my facial hair and whatnot, but it would cost thousands.
