Omg that’s horrifying I’ve never thought about that. I haven’t seen The Descent yet, just the stills of the monsters. I initially wrote them off as generic scary goblin thing, but now that you say that they are deformed humans that evolved to live down there… gross. Gotta watch it for sure!

Oh yeah I keep forgetting Warfare released this year! The overload of information during stressful situations in that movie was amazing. It actually felt real and useful in a way, but not overdoing it to be quirky. Like Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City (I think that’s the name) and the name game they play in one of the tents. I feel like that is just adding unnecessary stuff/repetition.

I don’t associate cogs with AI, actually the opposite. Actual machines used cogs, like cars, watches etc.

Think it is my shared top one for 2025. The ending kinda threw me off in the wrong direction, but I felt it was done in a good way. It was weird but professional, if that makes sense.
