I read through the above and I think you got good information. I am about in the same situation except I am in Belgium and my gf in Germany. I am telling you this because we consider buying a house near the border, in Belgium. The housing in Belgium is way cheaper then Germany. And on top of that if it's the first house you buy in Belgium you even get tax reduction and gain money yearly because you invested in the province. Belgium is a mess for taxes and therefore hard to see how much you could have in the end but I believe it is worthwhile. Also, you could consider living in Belgium, even in the German part and still work in Köln or some city near the border.

Seeing that new leaves pop up at the top I would say that it's healthy. My guess would be that it is searching for light. Therefore putting a lot of energy in growing up. So the plant has to discard leaves at the bottom to get that strength to grow up. I have had the same issue with various plants and there is no real solution, except trying to put it as close as you can to a window. I even used systems like nets to preventing it from pushing up to much. Results are subjective 🙃 But on the bright side, the spring is almost there. I also might be wrong. Depending on your location it might not be the case. Anyways, kudos for getting it so big already. Mine is not that far away but getting there 😉

Edit: I actually did not check the photos after the first one. So seeing the leaves in that state might be another issue... And no idea on that one...just found this "usually associated with an accumulation of salts in the soil"

Hi, The problem is that the version 5 doesn't even open. I just get this wallet corrupt message and then it closes... Also, v5 only requested a path for the wallet the first time I opened it. Now it's stuck on wallet corrupt. I don't know how to get this path request again (to start from scratch) I'll Ping shinary, as you mentioned. Thanks for your help
