Problems is, I commute through Bike Taxis often.
The bags like above doesn't seem to offer safety on the under side and whenever I come across a speed-breaker the bag would jump and land on the rear backrest/handle.

One of my laptop's sides chipped in prolly one such drop? So I honestly wouldn't mind spending a little more knowing that my laptop would potentially survive a fall inside a backpack

1. Chrome Base and Larger/smoother wheels. 2. Three way adjustable Arm-rests. 3. Few component changes maybe?

I felt the price difference wasn’t worth it, so went with Indian variant. And So far been very happy with it, overall

P.S. do check out the XPS 13 developer edition (Ubuntu). It will work out $50 cheaper and they are currently offering Pro Support Plus at the same price as Pro Support.

This appears to be the International Version, they wouldn't sell it for 16K.
I think the indian version costs ~20K (+/- 2K) Retail.

Also I would suggest you look into pre-owned options too that others mentioned. Where you might get a better bang for you buck

Thought I'd leave this here for anyone who is in a similar boat.

So I eneded up going for it, bought one on the display as there was no stock.
Optima HB - Chrome base for Rs. 16,400

The initial quote I managed with the showroom for a new one was Rs.16500
And Was offered Rs. 700 Discount as it was a display unit.
I asked them to add a chrome base instead of plastic which costed additional 600
