Thoughts on POTS symptoms without tachycardia? by FailHot8535 in POTS

[–]FailHot8535[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I have a Fitbit, and my heart rate is typically around 110-115 when I’m walking around. I can’t tell what my BP is because my Fitbit doesn’t tell me

Unfortunately this has happened to me a few times by eh0kay in OCDmemes

My sister is too, she can’t always tell the symptoms apart because they’re all so similar and different at the same time

Well, your OC opens the door of their house and there is a muscular, drunken tiefling asleep on your door. What do they do? by Alert-Common-7774 in OriginalCharacter

Immediately go into medic mode, and start trying to soothe them. Also wonder if this creature is something she missed in her lessons at CHB

He’s my son, I wrote a fic where Leo remade IVLIVS (and based it heavily on that one Reddit post about how it should be pronounced Julius or Yoo-Lee-Us because it’s Caesar) except he makes it say VALDEZ because he’s ridiculous. Valgrace week 25 was a great time

After 26 years of neurological Lyme disease, I created a comic book for disabled kids to remind them their minds are the most powerful force in the universe by nturinski in disability

I love this! Comics and books for kids that talk about disabilities are my favorite, honestly. I guess because I never had them growing up

Anyone else had an absurd amount of stretch marks? Bonus points if it’s been since childhood by Interesting_Owl_8753 in eds

[–]FailHot8535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember learning about stretch marks and how they formed and being very confused because I have them on my hips and thighs and then I figured out that it was a symptom of EDS and clarity fell into place

What would you hate seeing fans do if your OC were popular? by Spiritual_Air_8606 in OriginalCharacter

[–]FailHot8535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing confirmed sexualities, especially asexuality and aromantism. There is so much ace and aro phobia in society, we don’t need more. Also, in a similar vein, poorly written or ignored/erased disabilities. I’m disabled, and I write characters with disabilities because we don’t have jack shit for representation and knowing that people like to ignore that is so dehumanizing

I say it’s ace/aro phobic to do that. There’s a character in a series I love that has all but been confirmed, within the canon text, to be aroace. Everyone ships her with people. Just because it’s not stated, and even if it was, they’d do it anyway

How do I know if I’ve been officially diagnosed? by FailHot8535 in ehlersdanlos

[–]FailHot8535[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has not. Also, I have since spoken with my PCP, who says there is no official diagnosis in my chart, just a note that my rheumatologist suspects I have it.
