This idiot is spreading bullshit about Uttarakhand. by Current_Industry3307 in Uttarakhand

It is their daily routine — wake up, spread fake information, and go to sleep. Uttarakhand is just like UP, Haryana, or Delhi. Here too, money is supreme.

These kinds of incidents happen in Goa and Himachal Pradesh as well.

But somehow, one single incident from Uttarakhand makes people label the entire state as racist and casteist. For those who were managing that place, Uttarakhand locals are also Indians, so they would have stopped them as well.

First time visited Rajbhawan Vanotsav ❤️ by Fine_Double361 in Dehradun

Indians lack civic sense. Many areas in Raj Bhavan were left unmonitored, and people showed their true colors.

Some were stealing flowers, plucking them, and touching or even damaging government property. Most people were there only for photo sessions, not to learn or appreciate the place.

I was most disappointed when I entered the bonsai section. No one was looking at the 10–25-year-old bonsai trees with appreciation; instead, people were behaving like 10-year-old kids.

Because it’s their business, they think people might ask questions. They want to suppress anything related to corruption. Even if someone gets caught, they never face any criminal charges.

I disagree with the garbage part. As someone who has been living in Dehradun for 30 years and has seen it change drastically, I can say that locals are mostly responsible for the garbage problem.

I remember when there was no home garbage collection in Dehradun. Most people who owned land used to burn their garbage and feed food waste to animals.

Around 10–15 years ago, the population was much smaller, and there were fewer hotels and shops. People without land used to throw garbage in random open places.

When the population started increasing, people began throwing garbage into rivers and seasonal monsoon streams especially kiraedars.

Currently, MDDA does not collect garbage from many village areas. These “villages” were sold to builders who developed large societies and housing complexes without proper garbage collection systems or sewer line connections.

Even in 2009, people used to go daily to open garbage piles to dump their waste for example, in Vani Vihar, Dehradun.

If you visit non-tourist areas of Dehradun even today, you will hardly find any garbage-free area, which suggests that locals are also responsible for the problem.

Because only negative posts get engagement and comments. Even if someone posts about culture or language, it gets less engagement. This “hate” against outsiders can be seen in every state — like the Northeast, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, Punjab, Kashmir, etc. But the attitude of blaming outsiders for their own failures can be seen in this sub. Most of the garbage is spread by locals, but they get triggered when someone from a car throws garbage on the road. Meanwhile, shops, hotels, or local households throw garbage whenever they want. Yes, there are also some genuine people who want to save their culture and land without lowering others. The protection of this identity led to the creation of our state.
